Starting & Stopping the Engine
Always follow the proper starting procedure described below.
For your safety, avoid starting or operating the engine in an enclosed
area such as a garage. Your ATV’s exhaust contains poisonous
carbon monoxide gas which can collect rapidly in an enclosed area
and cause illness or death.
Your ATV is equipped with a gear position starter cut-off system. The
engine cannot be started if the transmission is in a forward or reverse
gear.

Running the engine of your vehicle while in
an enclosed or even partly enclosed area can
cause a rapid build-up of toxic carbon
monoxide gas.
Breathing this colorless, odorless gas can
cause unconsciousness and lead to death.
Only run your vehicle’s engine when it is
located in a well ventilated area outdoors.
