#1 Does body only include a battery charger?

Yes it includes a battery and a charger

#2 Does this use a Compact flash card ?

It has CF and SD card slots.

#3 Is this a new US version with original packaging and items included (i.e. strap, etc) and warranty?

This is the US version. Comes with everything including the original box. I do not think Canon allows the warranty to transfer from original owner but it is only a one year warranty and that has passed already.

#4 Has anyone else had this problem? My autofocus points dont light up red like my other Canons did?

Go to the AF Tab in the menu and select the fifth dot. By default VF display Illumination is set to Auto. The camera makes the decision when to light up the points. Change to 'Enable' to keep them on.

#5 Does it have international varrenty?

No read the description. It does not come with a warranty because the warranty is expired but it includes everything else that came with the box
