Replacing the Water Filter

In general, you should change the water

ltereverysixmonthstoensurethehighest

possiblewaterquality.Water Filter Status

on the user interface prompts you to replace

thelterafterastandardamountofwater

(125 gallons/473 liters for PureSource

Ultra II

)

hasowedthroughthesystem.

If your refrigerator has not been used for a period

of time (during moving for example), change the

lterbeforereinstallingtherefrigerator.

Do not use with water that is microbiologically

unsafeorofunknownqualitywithoutadequate

disinfection before or after the system. Systems

certiedforcystreductionmaybeusedon

disinfectedwatersthatmaycontainlterablecysts.

To replace your PureSource Ultra II

water lter:

It is not necessary to turn the water supply off

tochangethelter.Bereadytowipeupany

small amounts of water released during the

lterreplacement.

1 Turn Off the ice maker power switch.

 2 Removetheoldlterbyrotatingitcounter-

clockwise (to the left) 90 degrees to release it.

 3 Slidetheoldltercartridgestraightoutof

the housing and discard it.

 4 Unpackagethenewltercartridge.Slideit

intothelterhousingasfarasitwillgowith

the grip end horizontal.

 5 Pushlightlyinwardonthelterwhilerotating

itclockwise(totheright).Thelterwillthen

pull itself inward as it is rotated. Rotate the

lter90degreesuntilitstopsandthegrip

end is vertical. You may be able to feel a very

lightclickasthelterlocksintoplace.

6 Press a drinking glass against the water

dispenser while checking for any leaks at

thelterhousing.Anyspurtsandsputters

that occur as the system purges air out of

the dispenser system are normal.

7 Continue dispensing water for 3-4 minutes

oruntil1.5gallonsofwaterhasowed

through the system. You will likely need to

emptyandrellyourglassseveraltimes.

8 Turn On the ice maker.

9 Press and hold the Water Filter reset

button on the control panel for three

seconds. When the display changes from

Red to Green, the status has been reset.
