#1 Is it suitable for trimming the length of beards and mustaches? If no, then please recommend a will known trimmer.

I use it for trimming my horses so I use the closest setting. But the blade is easily adjustable. It would depend on how close you want to trim your hair. It doesn't leave it very long.

#2 Are these the improved version?

No. The one I received was not the improved. Or at least the boxing looked like the regular master

Unfortunately the price of everything keeps going up and they are not making better quality

#4 How heavy are these clippers? And are these clippers loud or has a soft sound when in use?

Not loud. If they clatter, they need to be adjusted. No, not heavy.

#5 Does the lever lock into place at each notch? If not, does it at least hold its position, even with firm pressure on the blade?

The lever does not lock, and mine used to slide all over the place. I used to tape it with duct tape. The good news is that with a simple tightening of the screws under the head, you can avoid having to duct tape at all. You can tighten this thing so it barely moves under a lot of pressure from your finger.

#6 Does this clipper come with guards?

It does not! Be warned you will need to buy separate

#7 What would leave long hairs? I just bought these clippers and have never had this problem before.

Please double check to ensure the blade is properly aligned. It may just need to be re-aligned.

#8 I just got mine and have cut one person's hair, then they started making a terrible noise. I've messed with the screw is there another fix for them?

I had the same problem with 2 pairs. Normally you can adjust the blades to fix this but the clippers from this seller do not seem to be "new". Mine arrived with hair in them.
