Reducing the environmental impact
Reducing energy consumption will reduce the impact of cooking on the environment.
You can reduce energy consumption by:
Using the correct sized pot for the element.
Using a cover when bringing water to the boil.
Simmering foods instead of boiling vigorously.
Cutting food into smaller pieces to reduce the cooking time.
Using a steamer or a pan with a divider to cook different vegetables at the same time.
