Russell Hobbs RHDH2002 Questions and Answers

#1 Does this dehumidifier shut off when a pre-set humidity is reached then restart automatically? One reviewer said the fan runs constantly regardless??

Yes it shuts down and restarts when the desired temperature is reached. The instructions provided are easy to follow and understand.

#2 Does it automatically resume when switched on without pressing any buttons? Could I use this with a smart plug socket to control it?

Yes automatically starts when switches on I have 2 of these best investment ever you wont be disappointed

#3 When target humidity is reached, does the unit shut down, then start back up periodically to sample to air or does the fan continually run?

Mine stops running completely until I empty the water tank

#4 Is this a compressor or desiccant dehumidifier?

Don’t know sorry just plug it in when have condensation

#5 Do you have to plug it in?

You have to plug it in to turn it on. It is quite a long lead. But once you plug it in you can either turn it on or off, its not constantly on.

#6 Is it noisy? I'm sensitive to noise and I'm struggling to find a quiet compressor based dehumidifier.

It is super quiet. So quiet compared to my last one, I kept checking it to see that it was on!

#7 Can you mount it to a wall?

This cannot be wall mounted.

#8 Bubbling noise from the compressor normal?

I have the same bubbling noise that you mention but with my one it disappear after sometime.

#9 Does it need refills? Any kind of block or anything you need to replace?

No you dont, just plug into a normal socket and turn it on. When the blue light flashes orange/ yellow it means that too much water has been held, just take out the drawer and pour the water out and slide it back in.
