12. Press START to begin preheating the oven for Convect Bake
or Convect Roast, or to begin the Convect Broil cycle.
The recipe will be automatically converted if the recipe
conversion mode was selected and it is necessary for the
selected mode.
13. Place food in oven when preheat signal sounds (for convect
broil there is no preheating).The screen will also prompt you
when to insert food. If a Delay Start is programmed, place
food in oven when setting the mode.
NOTE: Do not use Delay for items that require a preheated
oven, such as cakes, cookies and breads. If food is in the
oven during preheat, it may become overcooked.
14. Press LOWER CANCEL to turn off the oven.
Keep Warm™ Option
IMPORTANT: Food must be at serving temperature before it is
placed in the oven. Food should not be held for more than 1 hour;
however, breads and casseroles may become too dry during the
Keep Warm function.
The Keep Warm™ option allows hot cooked food to stay at
serving temperature. It can be used as an independent option or
at the end of a Timed Cook cycle.
1. If selecting Keep Warm as an independent cycle, press KEEP
WARM.
2. Use the number keypad to enter the desired temperature
between 145ºF (63ºC) and 200ºF (93ºC).
3. Press the quickset pad below Ok to enter the cooking menu,
or press START to run the selected cooking function with the
set temperature, without any timer set.
Once entering the cooking menu, it is possible to change
Temperature, to set Cook Timer and set Delay Start.
When the cook timer expires, the oven will play a sound and
continue to keep food warm.
4. (Optional) If a cook time is desired, enter a cooking length
using the number keypad to set a timer to alert you when
cooking ends. The time length cannot exceed 12 hours. See
“Cook Timer” section for additional information.
5. (Optional) To set a delayed start, press the left and right arrow
keys until Delay is highlighted, then press the quickset pad
below Delay. Scroll to the desired time for delay and press the
quickset pad below Delay. See the “Delay Start” section for
additional information.
6. It is possible to use Keep Warm as an option within a cycle at
the end of a cooking function (see the section for the cooking
cycle you are using for information on the When Done option).
In this case, an un-timed Keep Warm cycle will start.
7. Press LOWER CANCEL to turn off the oven.
Favorites
The Favorites mode allows the customization of cooking
processes. When Favorites is selected, a list of previously
created settings are presented along with the ability to create
more.
To create a new setting:
1. Press FAVORITES.
2. Press the left or right arrow keys until the desired empty
Favorites position is highlighted (1 to 6). Press the quickset
pad below the desired position to save.
3. Press the quickset pad below New to customize your cooking
process.
4. Select the cook mode by pressing the left or right arrow keys
until the desired cook mode is highlighted, then press the
quickset pad below Ok.
5. Use the number keypad to enter a desired cooking
temperature.
6. Press the quickset pad below Ok.
7. Use the number keypad to enter a desired cook time.
8. Press the quickset pad below Ok.
9. Press the quickset pad below Save.
To use a previously created setting:
1. Press FAVORITES.
2. Select the cook mode by pressing the left or right arrow keys
until the desired setting is highlighted, then press the
quickset pad below the desired function.
3. Press START to begin preheating the oven or the quickset
pad below Delay to set desired start time.
NOTE: You may also delete a setting from this screen. Press
the quickset pad below Delete then Yes.
Cook Timer
The Cook Timer allows the oven to cook for a programmed
length of time. The Cook Timer can be accessed by touching the
quickset pad below Set Cook Timer whenever available.
Exposing food to a preheat cycle can cause overcooking. If the
timer is started, but a preheat cycle is recommended, add
15 minutes to the cook time and place food in the oven at the
appropriate time.
The Cook Timer countdown is started several ways:
On single ovens, press the quickset pad below “start timer”
to start the countdown immediately. For double ovens, select
the upper or lower timer by pressing the quickset pad below
“press u timer” or “press l timer.”
If the door is opened then closed before preheat is complete,
“start timer now?” will appear on the display. Press the
quickset pad below Yes or No/Ask Later.
Opening then closing the door when preheat is complete
starts the countdown immediately.
