Have to power off tv and unplug...then turn back on sound bar will work until I mute tv or just turn off then back on...I get message connected to external speakers yet their is no sound?

im getting lip syncing from my sound on the tv i have the sound bar connected
Polk Signa S2 soundbar, was watching TV when the second green light (from the left) came on in addition to the first light. Sound then became very loud and uncontrollable. Tried unplugging and restarting but no help. Any suggestions?
Polk Signa S2 qorked fine this morning, ran errands, came home sound bar indicates it is on, tv speakers turned off but no sound coming from the bar. Tried several resets by unplugging, but still no sound. Any help would be appreciated
