The triangular symbol is called the alert warning. It goes on when the battery is low. Typically it would say "BATT" next to it. However it the battery is fully discharged that may not be visible. Thus I would suggest you replace the batteries in the thermostat.
I can’t seem to program anything on this thermostat. I have a six month lease and the temp in the apartment seems to be set to 77 degrees. Too hot!
