I have purchased a new light bulb and once replaced the light will not com on.
The Microwave under-counter light used a 40W bulb, part number 8206232.
To replace the light bulb: the cooktop light is located on the underside of the microwave oven and is replaceable. Remove bulb cover screws and open the bulb cover. Replace bulb, close bulb cover, and secure with screws.
Instructions say that I should be able to see the cooking guide label on the front face of my microwave behind the door. Someone forgot to put this sticker on the microwave oven opening. The only thing I see on the front face is on the left side model and serial number. Where can I get a copy of this cooking guide. I am having problems understanding how the defrost works and times associated with melting/softening butter. I am sure the guide would help. I have never had this issue with any whirlpool microwave we have ever had in the past. Usually very straight forward, this one is a mystery without the instructions. Disappointing that the cooking guide is not included in the manual as well. Can someone give me a copy of this guide or post it for all to see.
Is there an internal fuse on this unit ?? If so, how do we access it ??
Microwaves do have a fuse in them and can be checked and changed if blown. Just ensure the microwave is disconnected from the power source and the fuse is pulled before checking it with an ohm meter for continuity. We would not recommend attempting to change a fuse on your own. If you're experiencing issues with your microwave in regards to the power, we would recommend reaching out to Whirlpool customer service.
Replaced bulbs underneath microwave now it just stays on any suggestions?
Had the same problem with an led bulb. Substituted a regular bulb and that worked correctly.

I have changed the bulb on the underside of the microwave with a bulb from Lowes. Unfortunately, now It just stays on all the time. The light button don’t change from half, full or off. Do you have to rest something?

I have changed the bulb on the underside of the microwave. Unfortunately, now I cannot turn light off or go from full to half light. The light is permanently on at full light.
How do I use the reheat button on microwave what options are there for dinner plates?

How do you mute the sounds
You can turn the tones off on this microwave. Programming tones may be turned off, or all tones (including end-of-function signals) may be turned off. To turn off programming tones, touch and hold number keypad “1” for about 3 seconds, until a confirmation tone sounds. Repeat to turn back on programming tones. To turn off all tones, touch and hold number keypad “2” for about 3 seconds, until a confirmation tone sounds. Repeat to turn back on all tones.
To use the defroster how do you set it
Unwrap food. Touch DEFROST, enter number code of food item, enter weight, then touch the Start control. The food codes will scroll when you hit the defrost button.
No where can I find a description of the functions and what each button does. How do I set this thing for different foods. A users manual that describes the functions of each button would certainly be helpful

I set my microwave for 8 minutes to cook 2 ears of corn.part way through the cycle it quit “humming” but continued to rotate. Corn was not fully cooked. Is there a maximum time for cooking?
