    The compressor kicks on and off after turning on. I have the water bucket installed properly. It has been running fine all day and then started this.

    If the air conditioner is off and is then turned on while set to a Cool setting or if turned from a fan setting to a Cool setting, it will take approximately 3 minutes for the compressor to start and cooling to begin. 
    Make sure the air conditioner plug is pushed completely into the outlet. Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker. Press the RESET button located on the power cord plug. Make sure the water bucket is properly installed. Remove water from the water bucket and push the water bucket back in place.     E4 appears in the display if the water bucket is full or not installed correctly, or if the water bucket was removed while the unit was operating. Remove, empty and replace the water bucket. Replace the water bucket immediately after emptying it to catch any condensation which may continue to accumulate.     If this does not take care of the E4 error message, reset the unit by unplugging for 30 seconds or so.

    I always empty the water collection bucket, because the unit itself stops and warns that it is full. But even after emptying my unit is leaking water from the bottom and soaking my floor. As soon as I think that it's good, I end up stepping in a puddle that's leaked all on my carpet. Help please!?? Thank you in advance.
