Operating Instructions
This appliance is intended for household use only.
Revlon
®
curling irons and brushes are designed for safety and performance. This
appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other.) As a safety feature, this
plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
3X CERAMIC COATING
Three layers of ceramic coating help reduce damage from over-styling with even heat
distribution that penetrates hair quickly and styles from the inside out.
AUTO SHUT-OFF
This appliance has an Automatic Shut-off feature. Should you forget to turn off the curling
iron, it will automatically shut off after an hour.
AUTOMATIC WORLDWIDE DUAL VOLTAGE
This appliance will automatically adjust to the proper voltage. In North America,
connect the plug into any outlet. Outside North America, use a plug adapter attachment
of the proper configuration for the appropriate power outlet.
IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and a
slight odor. This is normal and is not a cause for concern.
STYLING TIPS FOR CURLING IRONS
• Your Revlon
®
styling tool is ideal for creating gorgeous curls in all hair types.
• Hair should be clean and dried completely before using any styling tool.
• Plug your curling iron into an electrical outlet. Push the “On” Button, select the dial setting
best suited for your hair type, the “ready” light will begin to flash. Your styling iron is
ready to use when the light stops flashing. (See guidelines under “Heat Control.”)
• Separate a 2-inch section of hair and clamp ends to curling iron barrel.
• Using one hand to hold the Cool Tip and the other to hold the handle, roll hair under for
a curl and over for a flip.
• Leave in hair for an average of 5 to 8 seconds, then slowly unroll.
• Press Clamp Button to release hair.
• Push the “OFF” Button and unplug the styling tool after styling is complete.
• Allow the hair to cool before combing or brushing.
OPERATING UNIT
IMPORTANT: When using the curling iron for the first time, select the LOWEST heat
setting and test in one small section of hair for 5 to 8 seconds. If you want to use a higher
setting, be sure to GRADUALLY increase the temperature. Never style hair for the first
time on a high setting as this may damage your hair. Use only as much heat as you
need for effective curling. Over time, using more heat than is necessary can result in hair
damage. For best results, follow the guidelines below:

BRUSH IRONS
• Using one hand to hold the Cool Tip and the other to hold the handle, roll hair under for
a curl, over for a flip, or loosely for body.
• Leave in hair for an average of 5 to 8 seconds, or 10 to 15 seconds for thick or coarse hair.
Slowly unroll.
• Allow hair to cool before brushing or combing.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated
surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug
the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord
becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair it. This appliance has
no user-serviceable parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never
wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and
break. Handle cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting,
or straining cord, especially at plug connections.

CAUTION
NEVER wrap the power cord around the appliance.
Any pulling, twisting, severe folding or bending can
damage the cord, especially at the point of entry into the
unit, which may rupture the cord and can cause an electrical short or
other failure.
Regularly inspect the cord. DO NOT use an appliance
with a twisted, bent or otherwise damaged cord, or if the
appliance receives power irregularly. If cord is damaged, or for irregular
power issues, refer to instructions in the WARNING section further

STORAGE
Appliance should be disconnected and allowed to cool before storage.

unit. During storage, cord should remain loose with no tight bends or
folds, and appliance should be placed in a secure, dry location out of
