Start the programme
Make sure that no items of laundry are
trapped between the door and the
rubber seal, and close the door.
The main menu for the selected
programme is indicated again on the
display panel.
Press the A button to start the
programme.
During washing, the progress of the
programme is displayed in a bar on the
display panel. The bar fills in during the
washing cycle and provides information
about the current progress of the
programme.
The arrows fade in and out according to
the progress of the programme. They
indicate the programme settings/
options which can be changed/added
as the programme progresses.

■ Pre-washing, Washing, Rinsing,
Spin, Drain ... are displayed during
the wash cycle.
■ Extra rinse: foam
Note: Foam detection
If Foam has been detected also
appears on the display panel, the
washing machine has detected too
much foam during the wash
programme and has automatically
switched on one or more rinse
cycles in order to remove the foam.
Add less detergent to the next
washing cycle with the same load.

If you want to lock the programme to
prevent it from being inadvertently
adjusted, you can select the childproof
lock as follows.
Child lock 3 sec.
You can lock the washing machine to
prevent the functions you have set from
being changed inadvertently.
To activate/deactivate, press and hold
both buttons Child lock 3 sec. for
approx. three seconds. ~ Page 26
E Childproof lock activated appears in
the display panel.
After approx. three seconds, the display
reverts back to the main menu.
If you adjust the programme selector or
select a button when the childproof lock
is activated, E Childproof lock
activated appears in the display panel.
Notes
■ The childproof lock can be activated
regardless of the appliance's status.
■ The childproof lock remains active,
even once the washing machine has
been switched off. Before selecting
the next programme, deactivate the
childproof lock.
■ If the appliance is switched off while
the programme is running and
childproof lock is activated, the
programme continues when the
appliance is switched back on.
