Charging Your Hair Clipper
Clipper must be turned off.
Insert the adapter plug into the bottom of the clipper and plug the adapter unit
into a power outlet. The indicator light will blink to indicate that it is charging.
The indicator light will remain on when the clipper is fully charged.
The clipper will be fully charged in 3–5 hours. A full charge provides up to 60
minutes of cordless use.
The batteries cannot be overcharged, but we recommend that charging be
discontinued if the clipper will not be used for a long period of time.
If the clipper has not been used for a month or longer, it is advisable to
recharge it for 3–5 hours.
To preserve the life of the batteries, discharge them by running the clipper until
the blades move slowly. Switch off and fully recharge. Do this every six months.
Charge the clipper at temperatures between 40º–90ºF.
Lithium Ion batteries included. See battery removal section for
proper disposal of batteries.

Before Cutting Hair
1. Make sure your hair clipper is operating correctly.
2. The vacuum feature will not function properly if the hair chamber is removed.
3. The person should be seated so that the top of his head is at your eye level.
4. Comb the hair as it is normally styled.
5. Comb out all knots and tangles.
6. Ensure the hair is dry. Hair clippers perform best with dry
hair, making it easier to see how much hair is being cut.
7. Hold the hair clipper in the palm of one hand with your
thumb resting firmly on the top of the hair clipper. This grip
provides comfortable cutting control.
How to Use
1. Guide combs should be installed by first hooking the blade teeth to front side of
guide comb. Then press the back of the guide comb down until it snaps into place.
2. Ensure comb is attached before beginning to cut hair.
3. To remove, pull the snap tab on back side of guide comb and pull the comb off.

Remington HC6550 Questions and Answers

#1 How well does this work for beards?

It depends on how long it is. You could use the 1\8, 1\4, 3\8, and even the 1\2 inch or longer attachments. There are probably better models for beards but one day sweet thing about this one is the built-in vacuum. It really works well.

#2 How to remove the blade? Is there a demonstration video? Thanks.

Place your thumb under the blade (teeth side) and gently push up. Removing the vacuum chamber first may make it easier.

#3 This seems bigger than the regular cordless clipper. Is it indeed the case? Also, is it harder to use, compared to non-vacuum ones?

This is larger then the other vacuum clipper that we have since this one is meant for the top of the head and the other one is meant for use on the face. This is easy to use just like other clippers.
