Read all instructions before using this
product.

(spray) products are being used or where

Always check cutters, cutting unit and
guards before using the product. Do not
use the product if cutters, cutting unit or
guards are damaged, as injury may occur.

Always attach USB plug to product first,
then to power source. To disconnect,
turn product off then remove USB plug
from power source and then product.

Keep the USB power cord dry at all times.
Do not handle with wet hands.

Never put the product in direct sunlight
or store at a temperature above 140°F

To prevent possible damage to the cord,
do not wrap cord around the product.

Charging
When the product has charged for 8 hours,
it has a cordless operating time of up to 60
minutes.
-
Charging or using the product at
temperatures below 40°F (4.5°C) or
higher than 95°F (35°C) adversely affects
the lifespan of the battery.
-
If the product is subjected to a major
change in temperature, pressure or
humidity, let the product acclimatize for
30 minutes before use.
-
Charge the product fully before you use
it for the first time and after a long period
of disuse.
1 Make sure the product is switched off.
2 Put the micro USB plug in the product
(Fig. 4Fig. 2). Connect the USB plug to a
power source, such as a laptop, or to a
wall outlet by means of a power plug
(not included).
3 After charging, remove the power plug
from the wall outlet and then the USB
plug from the power source. Then pull
the micro USB plug out of the product.
Note: An adapter plug may be necessary for
cord usage in some foreign countries. Use
an attachment plug adapter of the proper
configuration for power outlet.
Battery status indications
-
When the battery is almost empty, the
battery status indicator lights up orange
(Fig. 3).
-
When the product is charging, the battery
status indicator lights up green.
Optimizing the lifetime of the
rechargeable battery
When you have charged the product for the
first time, we advise you to use it until the
battery is completely empty. Continue to
use the product until the motor almost
stops running during a session. Then
recharge the battery. Follow this procedure
at least twice a year.
Using the product
Always check the product and all
accessories before using. Do not use the
product or any accessory if it is damaged,
as this may cause injury. Always replace a
damaged part with one of the original
type.
Note: Switch off and clean the product and
attachments after each use.
Note: This product can only be used
without cord. Make sure the product is
charged before use.

Use this product for its intended
household use as described in this
manual.
-
For hygienic reasons, the product should
only be used by one person.
-
Trimming is easier when the skin and hair
are dry.
-
Always comb your beard and/or
moustache with a fine comb before you
start trimming.
Be careful when you trim for the first time.
Do not move the trimmer too fast. Make
smooth and gentle movements.
Switching the product on and off
1 Press the travel lock button, then slide
the on/off slide switch upwards to switch
on the product (Fig. 5).
2 Push the on/off slide switch downwards
to switch off the product.
Attaching and detaching combs
1 To attach a comb,slide the front part of
the guard onto the teeth of the cutting
element and push the projection at the
back of the comb into the product ('click')
(Fig. 6).
2 To detach a comb, carefully pull its back
part off the product and then slide it off
the cutting element (Fig. 9).
Trimming with a comb
Note: When you trim for the first time, start
by using the comb with the maximum
trimming length setting (3/16in/5mm) to
familiarize yourself with the product.
Use the trimming comb attached to the
cutting element to trim your beard and
moustache in your preferred style.
1 Make sure the product is switched off.
2 Attach a comb to the product (Fig. 6).

The indication on the comb corresponds
to the remaining hair length after
trimming.
3 Switch the product on.
4 To trim most effectively, move the
product against the hair growth direction.
Make sure that the surface of the comb
always stays in contact with the skin.
Note: Since all hairs do not grow in the
same direction, you may want to try
different trimming positions (i.e. upwards,
downwards, or across). Practice is best
for optimum results.
5 Regularly remove cut hair from the comb.
If a lot of hair has accumulated in the
comb, remove it from the product and
blow and/or shake out the hairs.
6 Switch off and clean the product after
each use (see 'Cleaning').
Trimming for 'Stubble look'
1 Use a stubble comb to create a 'stubble
look‘ 1mm (3/64in.) or 2mm (5/64in.) trim.
Trimming without a comb
Use the beard trimmer without a comb to
trim hair close to the skin (to a length of
1/32in (0.5mm) or to create clean lines
around your beard, neck and sideburns.
Note: Be careful when you are trimming
without a comb as when the product is
turned on it will trim every hair it touches.
1 Make sure the product is switched off.
2 Remove any comb from the product.
3 Switch the product on.
4 To trim most effectively, move the
product against the hair growth direction.
Make sure that the surface of the comb
always stays in contact with the skin.
5 Make well-controlled movements. Touch
hair/skin lightly with the product.

To trim hair close to the skin, place the
flat side of the cutting element against
your skin and make strokes against the
direction of hair growth (Fig. 7).
-
For edging, hold the cutting element
perpendicular to the skin and move it
upwards or downwards with gentle
pressure (Fig. 8).
6 Switch off and clean the product after
each use.
Cleaning
Clean the product after every use.
Never immerse the product in water or
rinse under the tap.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning
agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol
or acetone to clean the appliance.
1 Switch the product off and disconnect
from the power source.
2 Remove any comb (Fig. 9) or cutting
element (Fig. 10) from the product.

To detach a cutting element, push
upwards against the teeth of the cutting
element and take it off the handle (Fig.
10).
3 Shake and/or brush out the hairs that
have collected in the hair chamber (Fig.
11).
4 Clean the cutting element with the
cleaning brush supplied (Fig. 12).
5 After cleaning, reattach the cutting
element and comb to the product.

To attach a cutting element, insert the
lug of the cutting element into the
guiding slot at the front and push the
back of the cutting element onto the
product ('click') (Fig. 13).

Storage
-
Store the product in the pouch supplied.
Make sure the product is dry before you
store it in the pouch.

Be sure the product is turned off.
Remove cord from power outlet and
product before storing the product in a
safe, dry location where it will not be
crushed, banged, or subject to damage.

Do not wrap cord around the product
when storing.
-
Store cord in a safe location where it will
not be cut or damaged.
-
Do not place or store the product where
it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink,
water or other liquid.

This product contains a rechargeable
nickel-metal hydride battery which must
be disposed of properly (Fig. 14).
