BLENDER TIPS AND TECHNIQUES OPERATING YOUR PERSONAL BLENDER
CARE AND CLEANING
For quicker, easier blending, cut non-fruit food into 1/2-in. long pieces before adding
to the sport bottle. To prepare fruit smoothies with either fresh or frozen fruit, cut fruit
into 1-inch long pieces.
To best circulate food or fruit that is to be blended with liquid, pour the liquid into the
sport bottle first, then add the food or fruit pieces.
The following tasks cannot be performed efficiently with this blender: beating egg
whites, whipping cream, mashing potatoes, grinding meats, mixing dough, and
extracting juices from fruit and vegetables.
The following items should never be placed into the sport bottle for blending, as
they may damage the bottle: bones, large pieces of solid frozen food, or dense, tough
foods such as turnips.
1. Before cleaning, unplug the blender and detach the accessories.
2. Always be careful when cleaning the blade assembly. The blades are very sharp.
3. Use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the blender base. Do not immerse the
base in water or any other liquid.
4. All parts except the blender base can be washed in a dishwasher. Do not place
any parts in boiling liquids.
5. The blender base is designed to be resistant to liquids. If liquids spill into the base:
• Unplug the blender
• Wipe away visible moisture on the blender with a dry cloth.
Allow time for the base to thoroughly air dry.
• NEVER immerse the blender base in water.
6. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaners on blender base as finish may
become scratched or damaged.
7. Any other servicing should be preformed by a qualified service dealer.
4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120-V, 60Hz AC-only 2-wire polarized
electrical outlet.
5. Press the Pulse button (Fig. 5) to start blending. Release the pulse button after
the ingredients are fully blended.
6. Rotate the sport bottle counterclockwise and lift it out of the base (Fig. 6).
Replace the blade assembly with the drinking lid (Figs. 7 & 8). Raise the cap on
the drinking lid to drink the blended contents directly out of the bottle.
