IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this appliance and keep this Use & Care
Guide in a safe place.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, DO NOT immerse the cord, plug
or motor base in water or any other liquids.
3. DO NOT use outdoors.
4. DO NOT let the cord hang over the edge of table or counter or touch hot
surfaces.
5. NEVER leave the appliance unattended when in use.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
7. The blade is sharp. Handle with care.
8. To reduce the risk of injury, never place blade assembly on base
without sport bottle properly attached.
9. DO NOT attempt to bypass the interlock system that powers the unit on.
10. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions or is damaged in any manner.
11. ALWAYS operate on a flat surface.
12. ALWAYS operate with cover in place.
13. A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord) is provided to
reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer
cord.
14. UNPLUG from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts,
and before cleaning.
15. This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug: one blade is wider than the
other. The plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. This plug will fit in a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a polarized
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used,
but must be used ONLY when the personal blender is not running.
20. Any servicing other than described in this Use & Care Guide should be
performed by a qualified service dealer.
