Lubrication Recommendations
Transmission Oil Check
The transmission dipstick (1) is
located on the right side of the
machine near the recoil handle.
Check the lubricant level
monthly or every 1000 miles
(1600 km), whichever comes
first. C hange the transmission
oil annually. NOTE: We
recommend the use of Polaris
Premium Synthetic Gearcase
Lubricant. See page 108 for the part
numbers of Polaris products.
1. Position the ATV on a level surface. Remove the dipstick and
wipe it clean.
2. Reinstall the dipstick completely, then remove it and check the
level. Add t he recommended l ubricant to bring the l evel into the
safe operating range. See Specifications beginning on page 105 for
capacity.
