To activate/deactivate: press button 1.
If indicator lamp 2 is lit, manual gearshift‐
ing is activated. The current gear is displayed
in the multifunction display.

To permanently shift the gears manually in
drive program = using the steering wheel
paddle shifters, select the M (Manual) set‐
ting for the transmission.

NOTE Damage to the engine due to shift‐
ing up too late
The automatic transmission does not shift up
in manual mode even when the engine's lim‐
iting speed is reached.
The fuel supply is interrupted in order to pre‐
vent the engine from overrevving.
