Drain
Samsungrecommendsastandpipeheightof65cm.Thedrainhosemustberoutedthrough
the drain hose clip to the standpipe. The standpipe must be large enough to accept the outside
diameter of the drain hose. The drain hose is attached at the factory.
Flooring
For best performance, your washing machine must be installed on a solidly constructed floor.
Woodoorsmayneedtobereinforcedtominimizevibrationand/orunbalancedloads.Carpeting
and soft tile surfaces are contributing factors to vibrations and the tendency for your washing
machine to move slightly during the spin cycle.
Never install your washing machine on a platform or poorly supported structure.
Surroundingtemperature
Donotinstallyourwashingmachineinareaswherewatermayfreeze,sinceyourwashing
machine always retains some water in its water valve, pump, and hose areas. Frozen water in
the lines can cause damage to belts, the pump, and other components.
Alcoveorclosetinstallation
To operate safely and properly, your new washing machine requires minimum clearances of:
Sides–25mm Rear–50mm
Top–25mm Front–465mm
Ifboththewashingmachineandadryerareinstalledtogether,thefrontofthealcoveorcloset
musthaveatleast465mmunobstructedairopening.Yourwashingmachinealonedoesnot
require a specific air opening.

• Isawayfromdirectsunlight
• Hasadequateventilation

• Isawayfromheatsourcessuchasoilorgas
• Hasenoughspacesothatthewashingmachinedoesn’tstandonitspowercord
