Important Safety Information

READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

All wiring must comply with local and national

codes and must be installed by a qualiﬁ ed

electrician. Check the available power supply and

resolve any wiring problems before installing and

operating this appliance.

This 115 V appliance may be used in any properly

wired, general purpose household receptacle.

The rating plate located on the right side of the

appliance just above the power cord contains

electrical and other technical data.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is not intended for use by persons,

including children, with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a

person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they

do not play with the appliance.

Do not install the appliance where leakage of

combustible gas is suspected.

POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS

The power supply cord contains a current device

that senses damage to the power cord. To test the

power supply cord:

1. Press the TEST button on the power supply cord.

The RESET button will click and pop out.

2. Press the RESET button until it clicks into place.

3. The power supply cord is now supplying

electricity to the appliance.

Do not use this device to turn the appliance on or

off. Ensure that the RESET button is pushed in for

correct operation. The power supply cord must be

replaced if it fails to reset when the TEST button is

pushed.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance must be grounded. Grounding

reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an

escape wire for the electrical current.

This appliance has a cord that has a grounding

wire with a 3-prong plug. The power cord must be

plugged into an outlet that is properly grounded.

If the outlet is a 2-prong wall outlet, it must be

replaced with a properly grounded 3-prong wall

outlet.

WARNING - Improper use of the grounding

plug can result in a risk of electric shock.

Consult a qualiﬁ ed electrician or service agent

if the grounding instructions are not completely

understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the

appliance is properly grounded.

Do not connect your appliance to extension

cords or together with another appliance in the

same wall outlet. Do not splice the power cord.

Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the

third ground prong from the power cord. Do not

use extension cords or ungrounded (two prongs)

adapters.

If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or

similar qualiﬁ ed person in order to avoid hazard.

GRILLE INSTALLATION

The installation of a this air conditioner requires the

installation of a compatible air conditioner sleeve,

which should be purchased separately.

A grille must be installed on the appliance before it

is placed inside the air conditioner sleeve. This grille

can be aluminum or plastic depending on what will

work best with the sleeve.

Aluminum Grille Installation

Place the aluminum grille on the rear of the

appliance and secure with screws.

Ensure that the aluminum grille is installed in the

right direction, with the ﬁ ns pointed outward.

Plastic Grille Installation

A plastic grille can also be installed but it is

recommended to use the aluminum grille if possible

for better air ﬂ ow.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

GROUNDING WIRE

The installation of the grounding wire is an optional

step. If the grounding wire will be used, it should be

installed before the appliance is placed inside the

wall sleeve.

Locate the screw on the side of the appliance.

Remove the screw and the plastic washer.

Secure the grounding wire to the side of the

appliance using the toothed washer and the screw.

Ensure that the toothed washer is against the side of

the appliance. Ensure that the grounding wire does

not become tangled when placing the appliance

inside the wall sleeve.

SUPPORT BLOCKS

The installation of the support blocks on the sides of

the appliance is optional based on what can ﬁ t into

the wall sleeve.

Attach four support blocks to the sides of the

appliance, two on each side. The support blocks

provide stability to the appliance inside the sleeve.

WALL FRAME

Place the appliance inside the wall sleeve. Install

the long stuff seal between the wall sleeve and the

appliance to ensure the enclosure is sealed. A ﬂ at

bladed screw driver or putty knife may be used.

Assemble the trim by inserting the top and bottom

pieces into the side pieces and snapping them into

place.

Pull the power cord through the frame and the slide

the frame over the appliance until it is ﬂ ush with the

wall.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

REMOTE CONTROL

1. Mode Button: Used to choose the operating

mode: cool, fan, dry and auto.

2. Up and Down Arrows: Used to adjust the set

temperature and the timer function.

3. Sleep Button: Used to set the sleep function.

4. Power Button: Used to turn the appliance on or

off.

5. Fan Buttons: Used to set the fan speed: low,

medium and high.

6. Lock Button: Press this button to lock the remote

control and prevent the settings from being

inadvertently changed.

7. Energy Saver Button: Used to set the energy

saver function.

8. Timer Button: Used to set the auto on and auto

off timer.

9. °C/°F Button: Used to change the temperature

scale displayed.

10. Follow Me Button: Used to set the Follow Me

function.

CONTROL PANEL

1. Display Panel: Displays the set temperature, the

ambient temperature and the timer settings. To

change the temperature scale being displayed,

press the up and down buttons at the same time.

2. Remote control receiver

3. Filter Button: The indicator light will illuminate

as a reminder to check the ﬁ lter. Once the ﬁ lter

has been cleaned, press this button to resume

normal operation.

4. Mode Button: Used to choose the operating

mode: cool, fan, dry and auto.

5. Fan Button: Used to set the fan speed: low,

medium and high.

6. Energy Saver Button: Used to set the energy

saver function.

7. Sleep Button: Used to set the sleep function.

8. Up and Down Arrows: Used to adjust the set

temperature and the timer function.

9. Timer Button: Used to set the auto on and auto

off timer.

10. Power Button: Used to turn the appliance on or

off.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

REMOTE CONTROL BATTERIES

The remote control requires two AAA alkaline

batteries (included). Batteries should be replaced

when:

a) No sound is heard when attempting to program

the appliance.

b) The appliance does not respond to a command

issued by the remote control.

Battery replacement:

1. Slide the rear cover on the remote in the

direction of the arrow.

2. Insert two AAA batteries following the same

orientation depicted inside the battery chamber

(+/-).

3. Reinstall the rear cover.

4. If the remote control will not be used for

extended periods of time, the batteries should be

removed.

Notes:

• Protect the remote control from high

temperatures, and keep it away from radiation

exposure.

• Keep the control panel receiver out of direct

sunlight.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or

rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh,etc) batteries.

• The remote operates within a range of 8 meters

(26 ft.) from the receiver located inside the main

appliance. Any obstruction between the receiver

and remote may cause signal interference,

limiting the ability to program the main unit.

This Class B digital apparatus complies with the

Canadian ICES-003 standard. CAN ICES-3 (B)

This equipment has been tested and found to

comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,

pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits

are designed to provide reasonable protection

against interference in a residential installation.

This equipment generates, uses and can radiate

radio frequency energy and, if not installed and

used in accordance with the instructions, may cause

interference to radio communications. However,

there is no guarantee that interference will not occur

in a particular installation.

If this equipment does cause interference to radio

or television reception, which can be determined

by turning the equipment off and on, the user is

encouraged to try to correct the interference by one

or more of the following measures:

1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

2. Increase the separation between the equipment

and receiver.

3. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a

circuit different from that to which the receiver is

connected.

4. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV

technician for help.

Changes or modiﬁ cations not approved by the

party responsible for FCC compliance could void

the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

This appliance complies with Part 15 of the FCC

Rules.

Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

1. This device may not cause interference.

2. This device must accept any interference

received, including interference that may cause

undesired operation.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

FUNCTION INSTRUCTION

Operating Modes

There are four operating modes to choose from.

Press the Mode Button repeatedly to choose the

desired mode. The adjacent indicator light will

illuminate to show which mode has been selected.

• Cool Mode

Choose Cool Mode to set the cooling function. Use

the Up and Down Arrows to choose the desired

temperature. When Cool Mode is selected, the fan

speed can be adjusted by pressing the fan button.

• Dry Mode

Choose Dry Mode to remove excess moisture

from the air during periods of high humidity. All

water pulled from the air will condense inside the

appliance and drain out the back. The fan speed

will be automatically set and cannot be modiﬁ ed in

Dry Mode.

• Fan Mode

Choose Fan Mode to run the internal fan without

engaging the cooling function. Press the fan button

repeatedly to choose the fan speed, Low, Med or

High.

• Auto Mode

Auto Mode is a pre-set factory program that

automatically deﬁ nes the mode and fan speed

based on the set temperature, the ambient

temperature and the ambient humidity.

Up and Down Arrows

The Up and Down Arrows will modify the set

temperature in 1° increments.

The Up and Down Arrows will modify the set time of

the timer function in 0.5 hour increments up to 10

hours and then in 1 hour increments up to 24 hours

maximum.

Timer Function

The Timer Function can be used to turn the

appliance on or off after a set period of time.

Auto On Function

1. Press the Timer Button once and the Auto On

indicator light will illuminate.

2. Use the Up and Down Arrows to select the

desired amount of time before the appliance

should turn on.

3. Use the Mode Button to select the desired mode.

4. Use the Fan Button to select the desired fan

speed.

5. The time selected will appear on the display

panel and will count down until the appliance

turns on.

Auto Off Function

1. Press the Timer Button twice and the Auto Off

indicator light will illuminate.

2. Use the Up and Down Arrows to select the

desired amount of time before the appliance

should turn off.

3. The time selected will appear on the display

panel and will count down until the appliance

turns off.

Using Auto On and Auto Off Simultaneously

If there is a need for the appliance to turn on, run

for a set period of time and then turn off, the Auto

On and Auto Off functions can be used at the same

time by ﬁ rst setting one and then the other. Both

indicator lights will illuminate and the display will

count down to the appliance either turning off or

on, whichever function was set ﬁ rst.

Note: The timer will not cycle the appliance on and

off indeﬁ nitely. The Auto On and Auto Off timers

will function one time and then the appliance will

return to regular functioning.

Turning the appliance off, pressing the default

button on the remote or unplugging the appliance

will clear all memory settings, including the timer.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Energy Saver Function

The Energy Saver Function will automatically cycle

the fan on and off when the compressor is not in use

to minimize how often the compressor needs to turn

on. This function is available in Cool, Dry, and Auto

modes.

The fan will continue to run for 3 minutes after the

compressor turns off. The fan will then cycle on for

2 minutes in 10 minute intervals until the ambient

temperature is above the set temperature, at which

point the compressor will turn on and cooling will

resume.

Sleep Function

The Sleep Function can be used to conserve

energy during sleeping hours. When selected,

the set temperature will increase by 2° per hour

for two hours. The appliance will hold the new

set temperature for 6 hours before automatically

returning to normal operation.

The Sleep Function can be canceled at any time by

pressing the Sleep Button.

Follow Me Function

There is a temperature sensor built into the remote

control that will continuously collect the current

room temperature. Keep the remote control with

you and the appliance will automatically adjust the

set temperature based on the current temperature

where you are located.

Press the Follow Me button on the remote control

to activate the Follow Me function. The remote will

display the current temperature at its location. The

remote will send a signal to the air conditioner

every 3 minutes, so long as you remain within

range of the appliance.

The maximum distance for the Follow Me feature is

8 meters (26 feet). This feature is available in Cool

and Auto modes.

AIR FILTER

The air ﬁ lter should be cleaned approximately every

2 weeks. The air ﬁ lter may require more frequent

cleaning if there is signiﬁ cant dander or fur in the

air.

1. The air ﬁ lter is located behind the front intake

grill. Grasp the ﬁ lter by the center and pull up

and out.

2. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush

attachment to remove any large debris or dust

build up from the air ﬁ lter.

3. Wash the ﬁ lter in lukewarm, soapy water, below

40°C (104°F), or use a neutral cleaning agent.

4. Rinse the ﬁ lter with clean water and dry

thoroughly before reinstalling in the appliance.

5. Press the ﬁ lter button on the control panel to

resume normal functioning.

Note: Do not operate the appliance without the air

ﬁ lter installed.

CLEANING

To avoid possible electric shock, ensure that the

appliance is unplugged before performing any

cleaning or maintenance.

The outside of the appliance can be wiped clean

with a soft cloth or with a lukewarm, damp cloth if

necessary.

Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner or any

other chemicals to clean this appliance as these

substances can cause damage to the ﬁ nish and

deformation of plastic parts.

Never pour water directly onto the appliance as this

will cause deterioration of electrical components

and wiring insulation.

• Place an algaecide tablet in base pan; push the tablet through

the grill on either side of the appliance

Water dripping inside • Appliance is not properly angled to allow water to drain to the

outside

Water dripping outside • On very hot or humid days dripping water from the back of the

appliance is normal

Frost build up • When outdoor temperatures are below 18.3°C (65°F) frost may

form when the appliance is in cooling mode

• Switch the appliance to fan only mode until the frost melts

LIMITED IN-HOME APPLIANCE WARRANTY

This quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating

conditions intended by the manufacturer.

This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter

“Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.

TERMS OF WARRANTY

Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.

First Year

During the rst twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s

option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.

under any Sale of Goods Act or like legislation or statue is hereby expressly excluded. Save as herein provided, Danby shall no t be responsible for any damages

to persons or property, including the unit itself, howsoever caused or any consequential damages arising from the malfunction o f the unit and by the purchase of

the unit, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Danby from any claim for damages to persons or propert y caused by the unit.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

No warranty or insurance herein contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by any of the following:

1) Power failure.

2) Damage in transit or when moving the appliance.

3) Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective house wiring or inadequate fuses.

4) Accident, alteration, abuse or misuse of the appliance such as inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating con ditions

(extremely high or low room temperature).

5) Use for commercial or industrial purposes (ie. If the appliance is not installed in a domestic residence).

6) Fire, water damage, theft, war, riot, hostility, acts of God such as hurricanes, oods etc.

7) Service calls resulting in customer education.

8) Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for out door application).

Proof of purchase date will be required for warranty claims; so, please retain bills of sale. In the event warranty service is required, present this document to our

AUTHORIZED SERVICE DEPOT.

depot. Any appliance requiring service outside the limited boundaries of “In Home Service”, will be the consumer’s

responsibility to transport at their own expense to the original point of purchase or a service depot for repair. If the

appliance is installed in a location that is 100 kilometers (62 miles) or more from the nearest service center, it must

be delivered to the nearest authorized Danby Service Depot by the purchaser.

Transportation charges to and from the service location are not protected by this warranty and are the

responsibility of the purchaser.

EXIGENCES ÉLECTRIQUES

Tout le câblage doit être conforme aux codes locaux

et nationaux et doit être installé par un électricien

qualiﬁ é. Vériﬁ ez l’alimentation électrique disponible

et résolvez tous les problèmes de câblage avant

d’installer et d’utiliser cet appareil.

Cet appareil de 115 V peut être utilisé dans un

récipient domestique à usage général bien câblé.

La plaque signalétique située sur le côté droit de

l’appareil juste au-dessus du cordon d’alimentation

INSTRUCTIONS DU CORDON D’ALIMENTATION

Le cordon d’alimentation contient un dispositif

en cours qui détecte des dommages au cordon

d’alimentation. Pour tester le cordon d’alimentation:

1. Appuyez sur le bouton TEST du cordon

d’alimentation. Le bouton RESET va cliquer et

sortir.

2. Appuyez sur le bouton RESET jusqu’à ce qu’il

s’enclenche.

3. Le cordon d’alimentation fournit maintenant

l’électricité à l’appareil.

N’utilisez pas cet appareil pour allumer ou éteindre

l’appareil. Assurez-vous que le bouton RESET

est enfoncé pour un fonctionnement correct. Le

cordon d’alimentation doit être remplacé s’il ne se

réinitialise pas lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton

TEST.

INSTRUCTIONS DE MISE À LA TERRE

Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre. La mise à

la terre réduit le risque de choc électrique en

fournissant un ﬁ l d’échappement pour le courant

électrique.

Cet appareil possède un cordon doté d’un ﬁ l de

mise à la terre avec une ﬁ che à 3 broches. Le

cordon d’alimentation doit être branché sur une

prise correctement mise à la terre. Si la sortie

est une prise murale à 2 broches, elle doit être

remplacée par une prise murale à 3 broches

correctement mise à la terre.

ATTENTION - Une utilisation incorrecte de la

ﬁ che de mise à la terre peut entraîner un risque

d’électrocution. Consultez un électricien qualiﬁ é

ou un agent de service si les instructions de mise

à la terre ne sont pas complètement comprises ou

s’il existe un doute quant à savoir si l’appareil est

correctement mis à la terre.

Ne branchez pas votre appareil à des rallonges

ou avec un autre appareil dans la même prise

murale. Ne pas épisser le cordon d’alimentation.

Ne coupez ou retirez en aucun cas la troisième

broche du cordon d’alimentation. N’utilisez pas de

cordons de prolongement ou d’adaptateurs sans

mise à la terre (deux broches).

Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit

être remplacé par le fabricant, son agent de service

ou une personne qualiﬁ ée similaire aﬁ n d’éviter tout

risque.

INSTALLATION DE LA GRILLE

L’installation d’un climatiseur de ce type nécessite

l’installation d’un manchon de climatiseur

compatible, à acheter séparément.

Une grille doit être installée sur l’appareil avant de

le placer à l’intérieur du manchon du climatiseur.

Cette grille peut être en aluminium ou en plastique

selon ce qui fonctionnera le mieux avec le manchon.

Installation de la grille en aluminium

Placez la grille en aluminium à l’arrière de

l’appareil et ﬁ xez-la avec des vis.

Assurez-vous que la grille en aluminium est installée

dans le bon sens, avec les ailettes pointées vers

l’extérieur.

Installation de la grille en plastique

Une grille en plastique peut également être installée

mais il est recommandé d’utiliser si possible la grille

en aluminium pour une meilleure circulation de l’air.

INSTRUCTIONS D’INSTALLATION

FIL DE MISE À LA TERRE

L’installation du ﬁ l de terre est une étape facultative.

Si vous utilisez le ﬁ l de terre, installez-le avant de

placer l’appareil dans le manchon mural.

Localisez la vis sur le côté de l’appareil. Retirez la

vis et la rondelle en plastique.

Fixez le ﬁ l de terre sur le côté de l’appareil à l’aide

de la rondelle dentée et de la vis. Assurez-vous que

la rondelle dentée est contre le côté de l’appareil.

Assurez-vous que le ﬁ l de terre ne soit pas emmêlé

lorsque vous placez l’appareil dans le manchon

mural.

BLOCS DE SUPPORT

L’installation des blocs de support sur les côtés de

l’appareil est facultative en fonction de ce qui peut

tenir dans le manchon mural.

Fixez quatre blocs de support sur les côtés de

l’appareil, deux de chaque côté. Les blocs de

support assurent la stabilité de l’appareil à

l’intérieur du manchon.

CADRE DE MUR

Placez l’appareil dans la gaine murale. Installez le

joint long entre le manchon mural et l’appareil pour

vous assurer que le boîtier est scellé. Un tournevis à

lame plate ou un couteau à mastic peut être utilisé.

Assemblez la garniture en insérant les pièces du

haut et du bas dans les pièces latérales et en les

enclenchant.

Tirez le cordon d’alimentation à travers le cadre et

faites-le glisser sur l’appareil jusqu’à ce qu’il soit au

ras du mur.

6. Bouton de verrouillage: Appuyez sur cette

touche pour verrouiller la télécommande et

éviter que les paramètres ne soient modiﬁ és par

inadvertance.

7. Bouton d’économie d’énergie: Utilisé pour

déﬁ nir la fonction économiseur d’énergie.

8. Bouton de minuterie: Utilisé pour régler la

minuterie de marche et arrêt automatique.

9. Bouton °C/°F: Utilisé pour changer l’échelle de

température afﬁ chée.

10. Suivez-moi bouton: Utilisé pour déﬁ nir la

fonction suivez-moi.

PANNEAU DE CONTRÔLE

1. Panneau d’afﬁ chage: Afﬁ che la température

réglée, la température ambiante et les réglages

de la minuterie. Pour changer l’échelle de

température afﬁ chée, appuyez simultanément

sur les boutons haut et bas.

2. Récepteur de télécommande

3. Bouton ﬁ ltre: Le témoin lumineux s’allume

comme un rappel pour vériﬁ er le ﬁ ltre. Une fois

que le ﬁ ltre a été nettoyé, utilisez ce bouton pour

reprendre son fonctionnement.

4. Bouton de mode: Utilisé pour choisir le mode

de fonctionnement: froid, ventilateur, sec et

automatique.

5. Bouton de ventilateur: Utilisé pour régler la

vitesse du ventilateur: faible, moyenne et élevée.

6. Bouton d’économie d’énergie: Utilisé pour

déﬁ nir la fonction économiseur d’énergie.

7. Bouton de dormir: Utilisé pour régler la fonction

dormir.

Cet équipement a été testé et s’est avéré conforme

PILES DE LA TÉLÉCOMMANDE

La télécommande nécessite deux piles alcalines

AAA (incluses). Les piles doivent être remplacées

lorsque:

a) Aucun son n’est entendu lors de la tentative de

programmation de l’appareil.

b) L’appareil ne répond pas à une commande émise

par la télécommande.

Remplacement de la batterie:

1. Faites glisser le capot arrière sur la

télécommande dans le sens de la ﬂ èche.

2. Insérez deux piles AAA suivant la même

orientation représentée à l’intérieur de la

chambre de la batterie (+/-).

3. Réinstallez le capot arrière.

4. Si la télécommande n’est pas utilisée pendant de

longues périodes, les piles doivent être retirées.

Remarques:

• Protégez la télécommande contre les

températures élevées et évitez l’exposition au

rayonnement.

• Gardez le récepteur du panneau de contrôle

hors de la lumière directe du soleil.

• Ne mélangez pas les piles neuves et neuves.

• Ne pas mélanger des piles alcalines, standard

(carbone-zinc) ou rechargeables (ni-cad, ni-mh,

etc.).

• La télécommande fonctionne à une distance de

8 mètres (26 pi) du récepteur situé à l’intérieur

de l’appareil principal. Toute obstruction entre

le récepteur et la télécommande peut provoquer

des interférences de signal, ce qui limite la

capacité de programmer l’unité principale.

INSTRUCTIONS DE FONCTION

Modes de fonctionnement

Il existe quatre modes de fonctionnement à choisir.

Appuyez plusieurs fois sur le bouton mode pour

choisir le mode désiré. Le témoin lumineux adjacent

s’allume pour indiquer quel mode a été sélectionné.

• Mode de refroidissement

Choisissez mode de refroidissement pour régler

la fonction de refroidissement. Utilisez les ﬂ èches

Haut et Bas pour choisir la température souhaitée.

Lorsque mode de refroidissement est sélectionné, la

vitesse du ventilateur peut être réglée en appuyant

sur le bouton du ventilateur.

• Mode sec

Choisissez le mode sec pour éliminer l’excès

d’humidité de l’air pendant les périodes d’humidité

élevée. Toute l’eau tirée de l’air se condensera à

l’intérieur de l’appareil et évacue le dos. La vitesse

du ventilateur sera automatiquement réglée et ne

peut pas être modiﬁ ée en mode sec.

• Mode ventilateur

Choisissez mode ventilateur pour faire fonctionner

le ventilateur interne sans engager la fonction

de refroidissement. Appuyez plusieurs fois sur le

bouton du ventilateur pour choisir la vitesse du

ventilateur, Faible, Moyen ou Haut.

• Mode auto

Le mode auto est un programme d’usine prédéﬁ ni

qui déﬁ nit automatiquement le mode et la vitesse du

ventilateur en fonction de la température réglée, de

la température ambiante et de l’humidité ambiante.

Flèches Haut et Bas

Les ﬂ èches haut et bas modiﬁ ent la température

réglée par incréments de 1°.

Les ﬂ èches haut et bas modiﬁ ent l’heure déﬁ nie de

la fonction de minuterie en incréments de 0,5 heure

jusqu’à 10 heures puis en incréments de 1 heure

jusqu’à 24 heures maximum.

Fonction de minuterie

La fonction minuterie peut être utilisée pour allumer

ou éteindre l’appareil après une période déﬁ nie.

Fonction de démarrage automatique

1. Appuyez une fois sur le bouton de la minuterie

et le voyant de démarrage automatique

s’allume.

2. Utilisez les ﬂ èches haut et bas pour sélectionner

la durée souhaitée avant que l’appareil ne

s’allume.

3. Utilisez le bouton mode pour sélectionner le

mode désiré.

4. Utilisez le bouton du ventilateur pour

sélectionner la vitesse du ventilateur souhaitée.

5. L’heure sélectionnée apparaîtra sur le panneau

d’afﬁ chage et sera décomptée jusqu’à ce que

l’appareil s’allume.

Fonction d’arrêt automatique

1. Appuyez deux fois sur le bouton de la minuterie

et le voyant d’arrêt sutomatique s’allume.

2. Utilisez les ﬂ èches haut et bas pour sélectionner

la durée souhaitée avant que l’appareil ne

s’éteigne.

3. L’heure sélectionnée apparaîtra sur le panneau

d’afﬁ chage et décomptera jusqu’à ce que

l’appareil s’éteigne.

Utilisation du démarrage automatique et de l’arrêt

automatique simultanément

S’il est nécessaire que l’appareil s’allume,

fonctionne pendant un certain temps puis s’éteigne,

les fonctions de démarrage automatique et d’arrêt

automatique peuvent être utilisées en même temps

en réglant d’abord l’une puis l’autre. Les deux

voyants s’allument et l’afﬁ chage compte jusqu’à ce

que l’appareil s’allume ou s’éteigne, quelle que soit

la fonction réglée en premier.

Remarque: La minuterie n’active pas l’appareil

indéﬁ niment. Les minuteries de démarrage

automatique et d’arrêt automatique fonctionneront

une fois, puis l’appareil reviendra au

fonctionnement normal.

Si vous éteignez l’appareil, appuyez sur le bouton

par défaut de la télécommande ou débranchez

l’appareil pour effacer tous les paramètres de la

mémoire, y compris la minuterie.

INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION

Fonction économiseur d’énergie

La fonction économiseur d’énergie allumera

automatiquement le ventilateur lorsque le

compresseur n’est pas utilisé aﬁ n de minimiser

la fréquence à laquelle le compresseur doit

s’allumer. Cette fonction est disponible en mode

refroidissement, sec, refroidissement automatique et

ventilateur automatique.

Le ventilateur continuera à fonctionner pendant

3 minutes après le désactivation du compresseur.

Le ventilateur roulera pendant 2 minutes dans

des intervalles de 10 minutes jusqu’à ce que

la température ambiante soit supérieure à la

température réglée, auquel point le compresseur

s’allume et le refroidissement reprend.

Fonction sommeil

La fonction sommeil peut être utilisée pour conserver

l’énergie pendant les heures de sommeil. Lorsque

sélectionné, la température réglée augmentera

de 2° par heure pendant deux heures. L’appareil

maintient la nouvelle température réglée pendant 6

heures avant de revenir au fonctionnement normal.

La fonction de sommeil peut être annulée à tout

moment en appuyant sur le bouton de veille.

Fonction de suivez-moi

Un capteur de température intégré à la

télécommande collecte en permanence la

température ambiante actuelle. Gardez la

télécommande avec vous et l’appareil ajustera

automatiquement la température de consigne en

fonction de la température actuelle de l’endroit où

vous vous trouvez.

Appuyez sur le bouton suivez-moi de la

télécommande pour activer la fonction suivez-moi.

La télécommande afﬁ chera la température actuelle

à son emplacement. La télécommande envoie un

signal au climatiseur toutes les 3 minutes, tant que

vous restez à portée de l’appareil.

La distance maximale pour la fonction suivez-moi

est de 8 mètres (26 pieds). Cette fonctionnalité est

disponible en modes cool et auto.

FILTRE À AIR

Le ﬁ ltre à air doit être nettoyé environ toutes les

deux semaines. Le ﬁ ltre à air peut nécessiter un

nettoyage plus fréquent s’il y a des squames

importantes ou de la fourrure dans l’air.

1. Le ﬁ ltre à air est situé derrière la grille

d’admission avant. Saisissez le ﬁ ltre par le

centre et tirez vers le haut et vers l’extérieur.

2. Utilisez un aspirateur muni d’une brosse douce

pour enlever les gros débris ou la poussière

accumulés dans le ﬁ ltre à air.

3. Lavez le ﬁ ltre dans de l’eau tiède et savonneuse,

en dessous de 40°C (104°F), ou utilisez un

agent de nettoyage neutre.

4. Rincez le ﬁ ltre avec de l’eau propre et séchez

soigneusement avant de le réinstaller dans

l’appareil.

5. Appuyez sur le bouton du ﬁ ltre sur le panneau

de commande pour rétablir le fonctionnement

normal.

Remarque: N’utilisez pas l’appareil sans le ﬁ ltre à

air installé.

NETTOYAGE

Pour éviter tout risque d’électrocution, assurez-vous

que l’appareil est débranché avant d’effectuer un

nettoyage ou une maintenance.

L’extérieur de l’appareil peut être nettoyé avec un

chiffon doux ou avec un chiffon tiède et humide si

nécessaire.

N’utilisez pas d’essence, de benzène, de diluant

ou de tout autre produit chimique pour nettoyer cet

appareil car ces substances peuvent endommager

la ﬁ nition et la déformation des pièces en plastique.

Ne versez jamais d’eau directement sur l’appareil,

car cela entraînera une détérioration des

composants électriques et de l’isolation des câbles.

No warranty or insurance herein contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by any of the following:

1) Power failure.

2) Damage in transit or when moving the appliance.

3) Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective house wiring or inadequate fuses.

4) Accident, alteration, abuse or misuse of the appliance such as inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating con ditions

(extremely high or low room temperature).

5) Use for commercial or industrial purposes (ie. If the appliance is not installed in a domestic residence).

INSTALACION DE PARRILLA

La instalación de este acondicionador de aire

requiere la instalación de un manguito de

acondicionador de aire compatible, que debe

comprarse por separado.

Debe instalarse una rejilla en el aparato antes

de colocarla dentro del manguito del aire

acondicionado. Esta rejilla puede ser de aluminio o

plástico, dependiendo de lo que funcione mejor con

la manga.

Coloque la rejilla de aluminio en la parte posterior

CABLE DE TIERRA

La instalación del cable de puesta a tierra es un

paso opcional. Si se utilizará el cable de conexión

a tierra, debe instalarse antes de que el aparato se

coloque dentro del manguito de la pared.

Localice el tornillo en el lado del aparato. Retire el

tornillo y la arandela de plástico.

Asegure el cable de conexión a tierra al lado del

aparato con la arandela dentada y el tornillo.

Asegúrese de que la arandela dentada esté contra

el costado del aparato. Asegúrese de que el cable

de conexión a tierra no se enrede al colocar el

Modos de funcionamiento

Hay cuatro modos de funcionamiento a elegir. Pulse

el botón de modo repetidamente para seleccionar

el modo deseado. La luz indicadora adyacente

se iluminará para mostrar qué modo se ha

seleccionado.

• Modo de enfriamiento

Elija modo de enfriamiento para ajustar la función

de enfriamiento. Utilice las ﬂ echas arriba y abajo

para elegir la temperatura deseada. Cuando se

selecciona modo de enfriamiento, la velocidad del

ventilador se puede ajustar pulsando el botón del

ventilador.

• Modo seco

Elija modo seco para eliminar el exceso de

humedad del aire durante períodos de alta

humedad. Todo el agua extraída del aire se

condensará dentro del aparato y drenará la parte

posterior. La velocidad del ventilador se ajustará

automáticamente y no podrá modiﬁ carse en modo

seco.

• Modo de ventilador

de ajuste de la función del temporizador en

incrementos de 0.5 horas hasta 10 horas y luego

en incrementos de 1 hora hasta 24 horas como

máximo.

Función del temporizador

La función de temporizador se puede utilizar para

encender o apagar el aparato después de un

período de tiempo determinado.

Función encendido automático

1. Pulse el botón del temporizador una vez y el

indicador luminoso de encendido automático se

iluminará.

3. Utilice el botón de modo para seleccionar el

modo deseado.

programada, momento en el que el compresor se

encenderá y se reanudará la refrigeración.

Función de dormir

La función de dormir se puede utilizar para

conservar la energía durante las horas de dormir.

Cuando se selecciona, la temperatura establecida

aumentará 2 ° por hora durante dos horas.

El aparato mantendrá la nueva temperatura

programada durante 6 horas antes de volver

automáticamente al funcionamiento normal.

La función de suspensión se puede cancelar en

cualquier momento presionando el botón dormir.

Función de sígueme

Hay un sensor de temperatura integrado en el

control remoto que recolectará continuamente la

temperatura actual de la habitación. Mantenga

el control remoto con usted y el aparato ajustará

automáticamente la temperatura establecida según

Presione el botón sígueme en el control remoto

FILTRO DE AIRE

El ﬁ ltro de aire debe limpiarse aproximadamente

cada 2 semanas. El ﬁ ltro de aire puede requerir

una limpieza más frecuente si hay caspa o pelo en

el aire.

1. El ﬁ ltro de aire está ubicado detrás de la rejilla

de admisión delantera. Sujete el ﬁ ltro por el

centro y tire hacia arriba y hacia afuera.

2. Use una aspiradora con un accesorio de cepillo

3. Lave el ﬁ ltro en agua tibia y jabonosa, por

debajo de 40°C (104°F) o use un agente de

limpieza neutro.

4. Enjuague el ﬁ ltro con agua limpia y séquelo

bien antes de volver a instalarlo en el aparato.

5. Presione el botón de ﬁ ltro en el panel de control

para reanudar el funcionamiento normal.

Nota: No opere el aparato sin el ﬁ ltro de aire

LIMPIEZA

Para evitar posibles descargas eléctricas, asegúrese

This quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating

conditions intended by the manufacturer.

This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter

“Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.

TERMS OF WARRANTY

Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.

First Year

During the rst twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s

option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.

Danby reserves the right to limit the boundaries of “In Home Service” to the proximity of an Authorized Service Depot. Any app liance

must be performed by a qualied service technician.

If service is performed on the units by anyone other than an authorized service depot, or the unit is used for commercial appli cation, all

obligations of Danby under this warranty shall be void.

EXCLUSIONS

Save as herein provided, Danby, there are no other warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees, express or implied, m ade or intended by Danby or its

authorized distributors and all other warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees, including any warranties, conditio ns, representations or guarantees

under any Sale of Goods Act or like legislation or statue is hereby expressly excluded. Save as herein provided, Danby shall no t be responsible for any damages

to persons or property, including the unit itself, howsoever caused or any consequential damages arising from the malfunction o f the unit and by the purchase of

the unit, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Danby from any claim for damages to persons or propert y caused by the unit.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

No warranty or insurance herein contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by any of the following:

1) Power failure.

2) Damage in transit or when moving the appliance.

3) Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective house wiring or inadequate fuses.

4) Accident, alteration, abuse or misuse of the appliance such as inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating con ditions

(extremely high or low room temperature).

5) Use for commercial or industrial purposes (ie. If the appliance is not installed in a domestic residence).

6) Fire, water damage, theft, war, riot, hostility, acts of God such as hurricanes, oods etc.

7) Service calls resulting in customer education.

8) Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for out door application).

Proof of purchase date will be required for warranty claims; so, please retain bills of sale. In the event warranty service is required, present this document to our

AUTHORIZED SERVICE DEPOT.
