1. MENU → (Custom Settings) → [ Pre-AF] → desired setting.

On (default setting):
Adjusts focus before you press the shutter button halfway down.
Off:
Does not adjust focus before you press the shutter button halfway down.
Note
[ Pre-AF] is available only when an E-mount lens is mounted.
