#1 Does this use gas or gas/oil mix

This unit uses just gas. Updating or modifying the unit could compromise the warranty.

#2 How long will a tank of gas run for?

Powermate PM4500 has a 19 hour run time with a 5 gallon fuel tank at 25% load.

#3 Does it have electric start?

No, this model does not have an electric start, it has a recoil pull start.

#4 What is the db rating?

Because there is no industry standard way to measure sound output on portable products it makes it very hard to compare brand to brand. Generac does not list the specific decibel level for our portable products for this reason. This is an open engine similar to a lawn mower so it does not run as quiet as our automatic home standby generators, is comparable if not quieter than most other brands.
