CARE & MAINTENANCE CARE & MAINTENANCE (CONT.)
Note:
You can use vinegar or lemon
juice to descale the teapot.
The teapot, infuser, and inner ring
are dishwasher-safe. Do not place
the lid in a dishwasher.
Note:
Do not use steel wool, as this can
scratch the teapot.
Note: Avoid hitting the faucet or other
hard surfaces when washing, as the
glass may break from impact.
1. After every use, remove the infuser and
discard the used tea leaves.
2. Carefully wash the teapot, infuser, inner
ring, and lid with mild soap and hot water.
If the inner ring fits too loosely or is too
hard to take o, you can adjust the tightness
of the inner ring.
1. Take o the inner ring.
2. Use a tool to adjust the 3 tabs on the
inner ring. [Figure 2.2]
a. If you push the tabs in, the ring
will fit more loosely, and will be
easier to put on and take o.
b. If you push the tabs out, the ring
will fit more tightly, and will not
come o as easily.
3. After adjusting the tabs, put the ring back
on and take it o again to see if the fit is
correct. If not, adjust the tabs again until
the ring fits the way you prefer.
1. Remove the infuser and discard the used
tea leaves.
2. Wet the infuser with water, and sprinkle
baking soda onto it.
3. Scrub the infuser with a brush, and wipe
it with a damp cloth.
4. Rinse the infuser with water.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until clean.
1. Remove the infuser and discard the used
tea leaves.
2. Fill a small container or bowl with
vinegar.
3. Put vinegar and water into the infuser.
The vinegar-to-water ratio should be 1:1.
4. Let the infuser soak for 2 hours.
5. Scrub the infuser with a brush, and wipe
it with a damp cloth.
6. Rinse with clean water.
1. Squeeze half a lemon into the teapot, or add
baking soda into the teapot.
2. Add ½ US cup / 118 mL of water to the teapot.
3. Scrub the teapot’s inner walls with a non-
scratch scrub sponge.
4. You can clean the inside of the spout with a
soft brush or small cloth through it.
[Figure 2.1]
5. Pour out the mixture, then wipe o any
remaining scale with a non-abrasive
cloth, sponge, or cleaning brush.
6. Repeat as needed.
You should descale the teapot at least once a
week if you use it frequently. Descaling removes
any mineral deposits that have built up inside
the teapot. Always descale the teapot before and
after storing for long periods of time.
Store the teapot in a safe place or inside
of its box.
Do not store the teapot where it may
fall, be bumped, or knocked over. Glass
may break.
Store the teapot out of reach of children
and pets.
