19. ALWAYS place unit on a level, stable, heat resistant surface. DO NOT use on carpet, vinyl, cloth, etc. and DO
NOT move during operation.
20. DO NOT use near or below curtains or other combustible materials.
21. DO NOT cover the appliance.
22. DO NOT let the cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
23. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
24. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug; or after the appliance malfunctions or is
damaged in any manner. Contact customer service for assistance.
25. DO NOT modify or repair the unit by yourself.
26. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to reduce the risks resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised
in their use and:
a. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating
of the appliance.
b. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table top where it
can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
27. DO NOT unplug your appliance by pulling on the power cord. ALWAYS grasp the plug firmly and pull it
straight out from the outlet.
28. DO NOT roll the cord up or wind it around the appliance.
29. CAUTION: If a fire starts in the fryer, DO NOT try to put it out with water. Close the lid and try to
smother the flames with a damp cloth or wet towel.
30. The use of accessories not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
31. DO NOT use outdoors.
32. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
33. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to
off, then remove plug from wall outlet.
34. Be sure handle is properly assembled to basket and locked in place. See detailed assembly instructions.
