CARING FOR THE FILTERS
The greasefilters should beremoved and cleaned often,at least once a month.
NOTE: Ifyou microwave hood combination is installedto recirculate air,the chacoal filter
(Part No. 5230W1A002A) availablefrom Sears bycalling 1-800-4-MY-HOME_.
The charcoalfilter cannot be cleaned and should be replacedevery 6 to 12 months.
Grease filters (Part No. 2B72705B):
Charcoal filter (Part No. 5230W1A002A):
1. Unplugmicrowave ovenor disconnect power.

2. To remove grease filters, slide eachfilter to the
side. Pullfilters downward and push tothe other
side. The filter will drop out.

2. Removethe vent grille mounting screws.
3.Tip the grilleforward, then liftout to remove.
3. Soak grease filtersin hotwater and a mild
detergent. Scrub and swish to remove embedded
dirt and grease. Rinsewell and shake to dry. Do
not cleanfilters with ammonia, corrosive cleaning
agents such as lye-based oven cleaners,or place
them in a dishwasher. The filterswill turn black or
could be damaged.

Slidethe filter
IlL straight out.
4. To replace grease filters, slide filter in the frame slot
on one side ofthe opening. Push filter upward and
push to the other side to lock into place.
5. Plug in microwave oven or reconnectpower.
