Before using your new product, please read these instructions to prevent any damage.
REPLACING THE PREFILTER
The lter indicator ashes blue after 1500 hours of use to remind you to replace the used lter
with a new Insignia pre-lter (NS-APPF168).
1 Turn o your air purier, then unplug it.
2 Remove the air inlet grill by pulling it out (A), then remove the used pre-lter from the air inlet grill (B).
3 Install a new Insignia pre-lter (NS-APPF168) on the air inlet grill (C), then reattach the grill (D).
UNDERSTANDING THE FILTER INDICATOR
FILTER INDICATOR MEANING
Green LED Normal operation.
Blue LED ash Check and replace the pre-lter.
Red LED ash Check and replace the HEPA lter.
Blue/red LED ash Check and replace both lters.
Note: There is a sticker on your air purier to remind you what each color indicates.

• Make sure that your air purier is plugged in.
• Make sure that the power outlet is working.
• Make sure that your air purier is turned on.
• If your air purier is plugged into a surge protector, make sure that it is turned on.
• Make sure that nothing is blocking the air inlet and ltered air outlet. Position your air purier
at least one foot (.3 meters) away from walls or large objects.
• Check the condition of the lters. Replace them if they are dirty.
• Remove the plastic bag from the HEPA lter.
• Make sure the lters are seated properly.
• Excessive amounts of pet dander, dust, or smoke may decrease the life expectancy of the lter.
• When the lter indicator LED ashes blue, you need to check and replace your pre-lter.
• When the lter indicator LED ashes red, you need to check and replace your HEPA lter.
• When the lter indicator LED ashes blue and red, you need to check and replace both lters.
