Question Answer
Can I store the
remaining water
in the water jug of
the IronCare water
descale lter until my
next ironing session?
It is not recommended to store remaining
water in the IronCare water descale lter, as
bacteria could grow in the water over time. We
advise you to lter the water shortly before
each ironing session.
Can I put uids other
than tap water in
the IronCare water
descale lter?
We advise you not put any perfume, vinegar,
starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, organic
solvents or other chemicals into the IronCare
water descale lter, as this may affect the
effectiveness of the anti-calc cartridge.
The material inside
the anti-calc cartridge
had turned brown
before I started using
the cartridge. Is this
normal?
Yes, it is possible for some of the material in
the anti-calc cartridge (especially the top layer)
to change colour before use due to exposure
to atmospheric conditions. This is normal
and does not affect the effectiveness of the
cartridge.
Is the IronCare
water descale lter
dishwasher-proof?
Yes, all parts of the IronCare water descale lter
are dishwasher-proof, except the anti-calc cartridge.
Remove the anti-calc cartridge before you clean
the IronCare water descale lter in the dishwasher.
It takes very long to
lter the water. Is this
normal?
It takes about 3-4 minutes to lter 750ml
water. If it takes longer, please refresh the water
and try again. If the problem is not solved,
please contact a Philips service centre.
The anti-calc cartridge is
already properly locked
into the jug, but I still see
some water droplets
coming from the top
of the cartridge. Is this
normal?
Yes, water droplets may come out of the
holes on top of the cartridge. These holes are
designed to reduce the time you have to wait
for the water to be ltered. This phenomenon
does not affect the water quality.
