#1 I'm putting this in my entertainment center and wondering where should i put the sub unit for the best base sound, [enclosed or in the open] ?

Answer

Okay so the best way to find out where to place a sub is kinda silly but it works. place the sub where you will be sitting. then go to the corners of the room or locations where you might place the sub. where it is the loudest place it there.

#2 Can i lay the subwoofer on its side?

Answer

Should be completely fine. All of the electronics for the system are in the sub and they should all be solid state (circuit boards). Would be no different than laying a PC tower on its side. Also worth noting that subs are generally omnidirectional, meaning that the output is projected in 360 degrees (or close to it).

#3 Why does the subwoofer make a horrible sound when it's on? Even with the volume all the way down sounds like if it's getting interference and its loud
