Mains water connection
Risk of injury and damage due to
incorrect connection.
Incorrect connection may result in
personal injury and/or damage to
property.
The appliance may only be
connected to the water supply by a
suitably qualified technician.
Danger to health and property
due to contaminated water.
The quality of the water used must
conform to the requirements for
drinking water in the country in which
the coffee machine is being used.
Connect the coffee machine to the
mains water supply.
Connection to the water supply must
comply with the applicable
regulations in the country in which
the appliance is being installed. This
appliance must be installed in
accordance with AS/NZS 3500.1 and
AS/NZS 3500.2. Back flow
prevention is already integrated in
the appliance.
Connect the coffee machine directly
to the mains water supply.
Avoid connecting the coffee machine
to a water supply in which the water
might stagnate. Otherwise the taste
of prepared drinks will be adversely
affected.
The coffee machine complies with local
and national regulations.
The coffee machine must only be
connected to a cold water supply.
The water connection pressure needs
to be between 100 and 1000kPa (1 and
10bar).
A tap must be provided between the
stainless steel hose and the household
water supply to ensure that the water
supply can be cut off if necessary. The
tap must be easily accessible after the
coffee machine has been built in.
Connecting the stainless steel hose
to the coffee machine
Only use the stainless steel hose
supplied. The stainless steel hose
must not be shortened, extended or
replaced by another hose. Old or
used hoses must not be connected
to the coffee machine.
The stainless steel hose must only
be replaced by an original Miele
spare part. A stainless steel hose
which is suitable for use with
drinking water is available to order
from Miele (see back cover for
contact details).
The length of the stainless steel hose
supplied is 1.5m.
Remove the cover from the mains
water connection on the back of the
coffee machine.
Take the angled end of the stainless
steel hose and check whether there is
a washer. Fit a washer if necessary.
