w WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard:
This
appliance is provided with either a polarized (one
wide blade) or grounded (3-prong) plug to reduce
the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one
way into a polarized or grounded outlet. Do not
defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying
the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If
the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician
replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance
was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming
tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer
cord is necessary, an approved extension cord
may be used. The electrical rating of the extension
cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of
the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounding
type, the extension cord should be a grounding
type, 3-wire cord. Care must be taken to arrange
the extension cord so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or accidentally tripped over.

How to use
Burn Hazard.
Always use an
oven mitt to protect hand when opening a hot
sandwich toaster. Escaping steam can burn.
BEFORE FIRST USE: Wipe bottom and top
sandwich grids with a soapy, damp cloth. Rinse
cloth and wipe grids again.
1. Plug into outlet. The red Power light will
come on.
2. Preheat with cover closed until the green
Preheat light comes on.
3. Press cover lock to unlock cover, raise cover,
and place sandwiches on bottom grids.
Close and lock cover. The green Preheat
light will cycle on and off during cooking and
does not indicate when the sandwiches are
done.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
14. Do not use appliance unattended.
15. During use, provide 4 to 6 inches air space
above, behind, and on both sides for air
circulation.
16. Never remove the food with any kind of cutting
device or other metallic kitchen utensil.
17. Always allow the appliance to cool before putting
it away, and never wrap the cord around the
appliance while it is still hot.

4. Most sandwiches are toasted in 3 to
5 minutes. Remove sandwich with plastic or
wooden utensil. Never use metal. This will
damage the nonstick coating.

Unplug unit when through cooking. Let cool.
Power and Preheat lights
The red Power light comes on when the
appliance is first plugged in. This light will stay
on until the unit is unplugged.
The green Preheat light comes on when the
appliance has reached the desired temperature.
For best results, wait until green Preheat light
comes on before adding sandwiches. This light
will cycle on and off during baking and does not
indicate when the sandwiches are done.
Usage tips
• Always preheat the sandwich toaster.
• For best browning results, lightly butter
outside of sandwich before toasting, or spray
cooking grids lightly with nonstick cooking
spray before toasting.
• Try different types of breads and fillings. The
sandwich toaster toasts the outside, seals the
edges, and warms the sandwich filling.
• Remove sandwiches with plastic or wooden
utensil.

Electrical Shock Hazard.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug, or base in water or any
other liquid.
1. Unplug and let cool completely.
2. Wipe cooking grids and outside of unit with
a damp, soapy cloth. Rinse cloth and wipe
grids again.
3. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads,
or abrasive cleansers on any part of the
unit. Never use sharp or pointed objects for
cleaning purposes.
4. Always allow the appliance to cool down
completely before storing. Lock the cover
lock; then the unit can be stored upright to
save space.
This warranty applies to products purchased and
used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express
warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other
warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects
in material and workmanship for a period of five (5)
years from the date of original purchase in Canada
and one (1) year from the date of original purchase
in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy
is repair or replacement of this product or any
component found to be defective, at our option;
however, you are responsible for all costs associated
with returning the product to us and our returning a
product or component under this warranty to you.
If the product or component is no longer available,
we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater
value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from
normal use, use not in conformity with the printed
directions, or damage to the product resulting from
accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty
extends only to the original consumer purchaser or
gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof
of purchase is required to make a warranty claim.
This warranty is void if the product is used for other
than single-family household use or subjected to any
voltage and waveform other than as specified on the
rating label (e.g., 120 V ~ 60 Hz).

Utilisation
Risque de brûlures.
Toujours utiliser un gant de cuisinier pour
protéger les mains au moment de l’ouverture
d’un grille-sandwichs chaud. La vapeur dégagée
peut causer des brûlures.
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION :
Essuyer les grilles de couvercle et de fond du
grille-sandwichs avec un linge imbibé d’eau
savonneuse. Rincer le linge et essuyer les grilles
à nouveau.
13. N’utiliser cet appareil que pour les fonctions auxquelles
il est destiné.
14. Ne pas laisser l’appareil sans surveillance pendant le
fonctionnement.
15. Pendant le fonctionnement, prévoir de 4 à 6 po (10,2 à
15,2 cm) d’espace tout autour de l’appareil.
16. Ne jamais retirer les aliments à l’aide d’ustensiles de
cuisine métalliques ou tout autre dispositif de coupe.
17. Toujours permettre le refroidissement de l’appareil
avant de le ranger et ne jamais enrouler le cordon

CONSERVER CES
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Brancher dans une prise de courant. Le
témoin d’alimentation rouge s’allumera.
2.
Fermer le couvercle et préchauffer jusqu’à ce
que le témoin vert de préchauffage s’illumine.
3. Appuyer sur le verrou de couvercle pour
le déverrouiller puis soulever le couvercle
et placer les sandwichs sur les grilles
inférieures. Le témoin de préchauffage vert
s’allumera et s’éteindra pendant la cuisson et
n’indique pas que les sandwichs sont prêts.

La plupart des sandwichs sont grillées après
3 à 5 minutes. Retirer le sandwich avec un
ustensile en plastique ou en bois. Ne jamais
utiliser d’ustensiles métalliques. Ceci pourra
endommager l’enduit antiadhésif.
5. Débrancher l’appareil dès que vous avez
terminé. Laisser refroidir.
Témoins d’alimentation et
de préchauffage
Le témoin d’alimentation rouge s’illumine lors
du branchement de l’appareil. Ce témoin restera
illuminé jusqu’au débranchement de l’appareil.
Le témoin de préchauffage vert s’illumine lorsque
l’appareil a atteint le degré de température
désirée. Pour des résultats optimaux, attendre
que le témoin vert de préchauffage s’illumine
avant de déposer les sandwichs. Ce témoin
s’allumera et s’éteindra pendant la cuisson et
n’indique pas que les sandwichs sont prêts.
Entretien et nettoyage

récurer ou de poudre à nettoyer sur aucune
pièce de l’appareil. Ne jamais utiliser
d’objets affûtés ou pointus pour les besoins
de nettoyage.

Toujours permettre le refroidissement
complet de l’appareil avant de le ranger.
Verrouiller le couvercle pour pouvoir ranger
l’appareil à la verticale et économiser
de l’espace de rangement.
Conseils
• Toujours préchauffer le grille-sandwichs.
• Pour des résultats optimaux, beurrer
légèrement l’extérieur du sandwich avant de
le faire griller; ou vaporiser légèrement les
grilles de cuisson avec de l’huile de cuisson
antiadhésive avant de faire griller.
• Essayer plusieurs variétés de pain et
de garnitures. Le grille-sandwichs grille
l’extérieur du sandwich, scelle les rebords et
réchauffe la garniture.
• Retirer les sandwichs avec un ustensile en
plastique ou en bois.
