Disconnect the spark plug cap from the
spark plug.
2.
Clean any dirt from around the spark plug
base.
3.
Remove the spark plug using a suitable
spark plug wrench.
4.
Inspect the electrodes and center
porcelain for deposits, erosion or carbon
fouling.
u If the erosion or deposit is heavy,
replace the plug.
5.
Make sure that a 1.0 mm wire-type feeler
gauge cannot be inserted between the
spark plug gap. If the gauge fits in the
gap, replace the plug with a new one.
6.
Make sure the plug washer is in good
condition.
