When you want to blend from one section to the next, you will need to practice moving the
clipper in an upward rocking motion. This motion will leave the hair slightly longer where the
clipper pulls away from the scalp, enabling you to blend between the sections and achieve
a smooth transition from one length of hair to the next. This technique will enhance the
appearance of your haircuts.
1. Blend out any cut lines.
Lines may form where you
change guard sizes. Use the
same guard used in step 3
3. Using the guard used in
step 8 repeat blending the
top outline as needed.

Before adding guards, make sure the on/off switch is turned to the “0” or “OFF” position.
1. While holding at a slight angle, place the attachment guard onto the clipper so the tips of the blade
rests into the slots of the guard fingers. (fig A)
2. Using your thumb, push down on the guard, where the guard size number is located, until you hear a
“SNAP”. (fig B)

1. While holding the top of attachment guard, place your thumb on the underside of the attachment guard
tab. Push up on tab to remove guard from clipper. (fig C)

on entire head to assess if further

To achieve a “tapered” cut around the ears, use the left and right tapered attachment guards
1) Attach the “R” RIGHT attachment guard to the clipper.

CLIPPER MAINTENANCE
When you cut your hair, you should visualize the head as if it were divided
into four sections. Image below shows the different sections. Using proper
techniques when moving from one section to the next will help you blend the
sections together for professional looking results.
• The first time you cut hair, cut only a small amount of hair until you become
accustomed to the length of hair each attachment guard provides.
• For best results, hair should be dry before using clipper.
• For best results, when cutting hair, go through hair at a slow, even speed.
Don’t force the clipper through the hair.
• For best results, go through the hair against the direction of your hair’s growth,
so you can catch more hair with the guard.
• The blades on your new clipper should be oiled every few haircuts.

BLENDING
BATTERY TRIMMER INSTRUCTIONS
Select clipper kits include a battery trimmer, your kit may or may not include a trimmer
1. Remove battery cover from trimmer by pushing in and back on the plastic door in the direction of the
arrow.
2. IMPORTANT: Be sure to insert the negative (-) end of each battery first, so that it depresses the spring at
the top of the battery compartment. Then slide the positive (+) end into position. Do not allow the
negative terminal clips to bend and cut the casing of the batteries.
Use alkaline batteries with your Wahl trimmer. Alkaline batteries will provide the longest operating time
before battery replacement is needed. Trimmer should run approximately three hours on alkaline
batteries.
3. Replace battery cover to its original position.
USING TRIMMER/DETAILER:
1. Oil & clean blades as noted for clipper.
2. Move switch to “on” position to begin use.
3. See directions for detailing/outlining for best
uses of battery trimmer.

OIL:
The blades on your new clipper should
be oiled every few haircuts. For best
results, place three drops on front of
the blade and one drop on each side
of the blade as shown. Use only Wahl
Clipper oil (a small bottle is included in
this kit, additional oil can be purchased
separately, see www.grooming. Wahl.
com for details).

HAIR OIL, GREASE, OR ANY
OIL MIXED WITH KEROSENE
OR ANY SOLVENT.
CLEANING:
To remove hair from between the blades, use the cleaning brush provided.
DO NOT USE
WATER TO CLEAN THE BLADES.
For best results, after brush cleaning the blades, add
Wahl clipper oil to the blades.
TAPER LEVER:
The taper lever adds versatility to your clipper by allowing
you to gradually change the closeness of your cut. (Up
position = closest cut; Down position = longest cut).
Should the blades become jammed with hair, move the
taper lever up and down several times. This will help free
up the blades.
RECHARGING
1. Remove the clipper, recharging transformer and accessories from the packing material.
2. Before the appliance is used for the first time, it should be charged for 3 to 5 hours. After
the first charge, it will also take 3 to 5 hours to fully recharge the battery. During
charging, the charging indicator is illuminated
(NOTE: Not all kits include a clipper with
a charge indicator)
. The charging indicator will begin to flicker when almost full charged
and may shut off when fully charged.
3. After initial charge, clipper can be “Quick Charged” for 15 minutes. This should allow
enough power for one haircut.
4. Plug the recharging transformer into any convenient electrical outlet at the correct voltage.
If clipper is on, turn to off position when charging.
5. When clipper is not in use, it may be connected to the transformer and plugged into
an outlet to assure maximum power is available when it is next used. This transformer is
designed to charge the battery without overcharging.
6. The charge cord should be removed from the clipper when not charging. Leaving the
power cord connected to the clipper without being plugged in may cause the battery to
drain.
7. The charging indicator light will illuminate when your clipper is in the “OFF” position and
connected to its charger. The clipper cannot be overcharged, so you may charge it as
often as desired.
8.
The cord should not be used to pull the clipper. Since freedom of movement needs to be
maintained, care should be used to keep the cord untwisted and unobstructed.
When stored, the cord should be coiled and unit placed in original box or storage case (if
provided), away from children.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your clipper does not seem to take a charge, check the following before returning it for repair:
1. Check outlet operation by plugging in another appliance.
2. Make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch which turns the power at the outlet off.
3. Be sure the clipper is properly connected to the recharging transformer, all connections are
secure and the switch on the clipper is turned “OFF - 0.”
4. If your electricity is connected to a master power switch, we suggest the clipper be
disconnected from the charger anytime the master switch is off. Leaving the unit plugged
into a dead outlet or an unplugged charger will drain the battery.
5. If clipper does not run and it is completely charged, turn the unit “ON - I” and pinch or
push the blades manually. (Oil may have dried out between the blades, so they may be
temporarily stuck together.)
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY REPLACEMENT, CLIPPER
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING:
•For battery replacement send the entire, intact clipper unit to:
Wahl Annex 3001 North Locust, P.O. Box 578, Sterling, IL 61081
• Do not attempt to remove the battery. Lithium-Ion batteries can explode, catch fire, and/or
cause burns if disassembled, damaged, or exposed to water or high temperatures.
• If you choose not to replace the battery, the entire, intact clipper unit must be disposed. Do
not attempt to remove the battery for disposal. Lithium-Ion batteries may be subject to
local disposal regulations. Many locations prohibit disposal in standard waste receptacles.
Check your local laws and regulations.
• For recycling contact a government recycling agency, waste disposal service, retailer, or
visit online recycling sources, such as www.batteryrecycling.com or www.rbrc.org.

If your Wahl product fails to operate satisfactorily within five (5) years from the date of original
purchase or receipt as a gift, Wahl will, at our option, repair or replace the product and return

When you want to blend from one section to the next, you will need to practice moving the
clipper in an upward rocking motion. This motion will leave the hair slightly longer where the
clipper pulls away from the scalp, enabling you to blend between the sections and achieve
a smooth transition from one length of hair to the next. This technique will enhance the
appearance of your haircuts.

1. While holding at a slight angle, place the attachment guard onto the clipper so the tips of the blade
rests into the slots of the guard fingers. (fig A)
2. Using your thumb, push down on the guard, where the guard size number is located, until you hear a
“SNAP”. (fig B)

BLENDING
BATTERY TRIMMER INSTRUCTIONS
Select clipper kits include a battery trimmer, your kit may or may not include a trimmer
1. Remove battery cover from trimmer by pushing in and back on the plastic door in the direction of the
arrow.
2. IMPORTANT: Be sure to insert the negative (-) end of each battery first, so that it depresses the spring at
the top of the battery compartment. Then slide the positive (+) end into position. Do not allow the
negative terminal clips to bend and cut the casing of the batteries.
Use alkaline batteries with your Wahl trimmer. Alkaline batteries will provide the longest operating time
before battery replacement is needed. Trimmer should run approximately three hours on alkaline
batteries.
3. Replace battery cover to its original position.
USING TRIMMER/DETAILER:
1. Oil & clean blades as noted for clipper.
2. Move switch to “on” position to begin use.
3. See directions for detailing/outlining for best
uses of battery trimmer.

CLEANING:
To remove hair from between the blades, use the cleaning brush provided.
DO NOT USE
WATER TO CLEAN THE BLADES.
For best results, after brush cleaning the blades, add
Wahl clipper oil to the blades.
TAPER LEVER:
The taper lever adds versatility to your clipper by allowing
you to gradually change the closeness of your cut. (Up
position = closest cut; Down position = longest cut).
Should the blades become jammed with hair, move the
taper lever up and down several times. This will help free
up the blades.
RECHARGING
1. Remove the clipper, recharging transformer and accessories from the packing material.
2. Before the appliance is used for the first time, it should be charged for 3 to 5 hours. After
the first charge, it will also take 3 to 5 hours to fully recharge the battery. During
charging, the charging indicator is illuminated
(NOTE: Not all kits include a clipper with
a charge indicator)
. The charging indicator will begin to flicker when almost full charged
and may shut off when fully charged.
3. After initial charge, clipper can be “Quick Charged” for 15 minutes. This should allow
enough power for one haircut.
4. Plug the recharging transformer into any convenient electrical outlet at the correct voltage.
If clipper is on, turn to off position when charging.
5. When clipper is not in use, it may be connected to the transformer and plugged into
an outlet to assure maximum power is available when it is next used. This transformer is
designed to charge the battery without overcharging.
6. The charge cord should be removed from the clipper when not charging. Leaving the
power cord connected to the clipper without being plugged in may cause the battery to
drain.
7. The charging indicator light will illuminate when your clipper is in the “OFF” position and
connected to its charger. The clipper cannot be overcharged, so you may charge it as
often as desired.
8.
The cord should not be used to pull the clipper. Since freedom of movement needs to be
maintained, care should be used to keep the cord untwisted and unobstructed.
When stored, the cord should be coiled and unit placed in original box or storage case (if
provided), away from children.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your clipper does not seem to take a charge, check the following before returning it for repair:
1. Check outlet operation by plugging in another appliance.
2. Make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch which turns the power at the outlet off.
3. Be sure the clipper is properly connected to the recharging transformer, all connections are
secure and the switch on the clipper is turned “OFF - 0.”
4. If your electricity is connected to a master power switch, we suggest the clipper be
disconnected from the charger anytime the master switch is off. Leaving the unit plugged
into a dead outlet or an unplugged charger will drain the battery.
5. If clipper does not run and it is completely charged, turn the unit “ON - I” and pinch or
push the blades manually. (Oil may have dried out between the blades, so they may be
temporarily stuck together.)
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY REPLACEMENT, CLIPPER
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING:
•For battery replacement send the entire, intact clipper unit to:

• Do not attempt to remove the battery. Lithium-Ion batteries can explode, catch fire, and/or
cause burns if disassembled, damaged, or exposed to water or high temperatures.
• If you choose not to replace the battery, the entire, intact clipper unit must be disposed. Do
not attempt to remove the battery for disposal. Lithium-Ion batteries may be subject to
local disposal regulations. Many locations prohibit disposal in standard waste receptacles.
Check your local laws and regulations.
• For recycling contact a government recycling agency, waste disposal service, retailer, or
visit online recycling sources, such as www.batteryrecycling.com or www.rbrc.org.

When you want to blend from one section to the next, you will need to practice moving the
clipper in an upward rocking motion. This motion will leave the hair slightly longer where the
clipper pulls away from the scalp, enabling you to blend between the sections and achieve
a smooth transition from one length of hair to the next. This technique will enhance the
appearance of your haircuts.
1. Blend out any cut lines.
Lines may form where you
change guard sizes. Use the

1. While holding at a slight angle, place the attachment guard onto the clipper so the tips of the blade
rests into the slots of the guard fingers. (fig A)
2. Using your thumb, push down on the guard, where the guard size number is located, until you hear a
“SNAP”. (fig B)

BLENDING
BATTERY TRIMMER INSTRUCTIONS
Select clipper kits include a battery trimmer, your kit may or may not include a trimmer
1. Remove battery cover from trimmer by pushing in and back on the plastic door in the direction of the
arrow.
2. IMPORTANT: Be sure to insert the negative (-) end of each battery first, so that it depresses the spring at
the top of the battery compartment. Then slide the positive (+) end into position. Do not allow the
negative terminal clips to bend and cut the casing of the batteries.
Use alkaline batteries with your Wahl trimmer. Alkaline batteries will provide the longest operating time
before battery replacement is needed. Trimmer should run approximately three hours on alkaline
batteries.
3. Replace battery cover to its original position.
USING TRIMMER/DETAILER:
1. Oil & clean blades as noted for clipper.
2. Move switch to “on” position to begin use.
3. See directions for detailing/outlining for best
uses of battery trimmer.

CLEANING:
To remove hair from between the blades, use the cleaning brush provided.
DO NOT USE
WATER TO CLEAN THE BLADES.
For best results, after brush cleaning the blades, add
Wahl clipper oil to the blades.
TAPER LEVER:
The taper lever adds versatility to your clipper by allowing
you to gradually change the closeness of your cut. (Up
position = closest cut; Down position = longest cut).
Should the blades become jammed with hair, move the
taper lever up and down several times. This will help free
up the blades.
RECHARGING
1. Remove the clipper, recharging transformer and accessories from the packing material.
2. Before the appliance is used for the first time, it should be charged for 3 to 5 hours. After
the first charge, it will also take 3 to 5 hours to fully recharge the battery. During
charging, the charging indicator is illuminated
(NOTE: Not all kits include a clipper with
a charge indicator)
. The charging indicator will begin to flicker when almost full charged
and may shut off when fully charged.
3. After initial charge, clipper can be “Quick Charged” for 15 minutes. This should allow
enough power for one haircut.
4. Plug the recharging transformer into any convenient electrical outlet at the correct voltage.
If clipper is on, turn to off position when charging.
5. When clipper is not in use, it may be connected to the transformer and plugged into
an outlet to assure maximum power is available when it is next used. This transformer is
designed to charge the battery without overcharging.
6. The charge cord should be removed from the clipper when not charging. Leaving the
power cord connected to the clipper without being plugged in may cause the battery to
drain.
7. The charging indicator light will illuminate when your clipper is in the “OFF” position and
connected to its charger. The clipper cannot be overcharged, so you may charge it as
often as desired.
8.
The cord should not be used to pull the clipper. Since freedom of movement needs to be
maintained, care should be used to keep the cord untwisted and unobstructed.
When stored, the cord should be coiled and unit placed in original box or storage case (if
provided), away from children.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your clipper does not seem to take a charge, check the following before returning it for repair:
1. Check outlet operation by plugging in another appliance.
2. Make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch which turns the power at the outlet off.
3. Be sure the clipper is properly connected to the recharging transformer, all connections are
secure and the switch on the clipper is turned “OFF - 0.”
4. If your electricity is connected to a master power switch, we suggest the clipper be
disconnected from the charger anytime the master switch is off. Leaving the unit plugged
into a dead outlet or an unplugged charger will drain the battery.
5. If clipper does not run and it is completely charged, turn the unit “ON - I” and pinch or
push the blades manually. (Oil may have dried out between the blades, so they may be
temporarily stuck together.)
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY REPLACEMENT, CLIPPER
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING:
•For battery replacement send the entire, intact clipper unit to:

• Do not attempt to remove the battery. Lithium-Ion batteries can explode, catch fire, and/or
cause burns if disassembled, damaged, or exposed to water or high temperatures.
• If you choose not to replace the battery, the entire, intact clipper unit must be disposed. Do
not attempt to remove the battery for disposal. Lithium-Ion batteries may be subject to
local disposal regulations. Many locations prohibit disposal in standard waste receptacles.
Check your local laws and regulations.
• For recycling contact a government recycling agency, waste disposal service, retailer, or
visit online recycling sources, such as www.batteryrecycling.com or www.rbrc.org.

Cuando corte su cabello, debe visualizar la cabeza como si estuviera dividida en cuatro
secciones. La siguiente imagen muestra las diferentes secciones. El uso de técnicas
adecuadas cuando se desplaza de una sección a la siguiente lo ayudará a combinar las
secciones para obtener resultados de aspecto profesional.
• La primera vez que corte el cabello, corte solo una pequeña cantidad hasta que se
acostumbre al largo del cabello que logra con cada protector.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, el cabello debe estar seco antes de utilizar la
cortadora.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, al cortar el cabello recórralo a una velocidad lenta y
uniforme. No haga fuerza sobre la cortadora al pasarla por el cabello.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, corte el cabello en contra de la dirección del
crecimiento, para que pueda tomar más cabello con la protección.
• Las cuchillas de su nueva cortadora se deben aceitar cada varios cortes.

INSTRUCCIONES DE LAS BATERÍAS DE LA RECORTADORA
Algunos juegos de cortadora incluyen una recortadora de baterías, su juego podría o podría no incluir una recortadora
1. Retire la cubierta de la batería de la recortadora presionando la puerta de plástico hacia adentro y atrás, en el sentido
que indica la flecha.
2. IMPORTANTE: Asegúrese de colocar primero el extremo de carga negativa (-) de cada batería para que comprima el
resorte ubicado en la parte inferior del compartimento de la batería. Luego, deslice el extremo positivo (+) para
colocarlo en su posición. No permita que los sujetadores del extremo negativo se doblen y corten la carcasa de las
baterías. Use baterías alcalinas en su cortadora Wahl. Las baterías alcalinas le brindarán el tiempo de funcionamiento
más prolongado antes de necesitar un reemplazo. La cortadora debe funcionar aproximadamente tres horas con
baterías alcalinas.
3. Vuelva a colocar la cubierta de las baterías en su posición original.
UTILIZANDO LA RECORTADORA/ DETALLADORA:
1. LImpie y lubrique las cuchillas de la recortadora
como indicado.
2. Coloque el interruptor en “ON” para usarla.
3. Para mejor resultados de la recortadora de baterias,
vea las instrucciones para detallar/dar contorno.

INSTRUCCIONES DE RECARGA
1. Saque la cortadora, transformador de recarga y accesorios del material de empacado.
2. El electrodoméstico se debe cargar durante 3 a 5 horas, antes de utilizarlo por primera vez. Después
de la primera carga, la recarga completa de la pila también se demorará entre 3 y 5 horas. El indicador
de carga alumbra durante la carga. El indicador de carga empieza a titilar cuando la carga está casi
completa y se apaga al concluir la carga.
3. Después de la carga inicial, puede hacer una “carga rápida” de su cortadora durante 15
minutos. Esto debería darle suficiente carga para un corte de cabello.
4. Enchufe el transformador de recarga a cualquier toma de corriente eléctrica conveniente al voltaje
correcto.
5. Cuando no esté utilizando la desbastadora, la puede tener conectada al transformador y al tomacorriente,
para que tenga la máxima corriente para el próximo uso. El transformador está diseñado para cargar la pila
sin sobrecargarla.
6. Debe desconectar el cable de carga de la cortadora cuando no la esté cargando. Dejar el
cable conectado a la cortadora cuando no está conectado a un tomacorriente podría hacer
que se drene la batería.
7. La desbastadora recargable se puede utilizar con el cable, para desbastar aunque tenga poca carga. El
indicador de carga prende cuando la desbastadora esté en la posición “OFF” y conectada al cargador,
y permanece PRENDIDO al utilizarla con el cable. No hay forma de sobrecargar la desbastadora, así
que la puede cargar las veces que quiera.

El cable no debe ser usado para tirar de la cortadora. Debido a que la libertad de
movimientos ha de mantenerse, se necesita una atención especial al cable para que este no
se retuerza o quede obstruido. Cuando guarde la cortadora, el cable debe ser enrollado y la
unidad ha de guardarse en su caja original, o soporte (si se provee), lejos del alcance de los
niños.
LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPARACIÓN DE FALLOS
Si su recortadora Groomsman no parece cargarse, compruebe lo siguiente antes de enviarla para su
reparación.
1. Confirme el funcionamiento del tomacorriente al conectar otro electrodoméstico.
2. Compruebe que el tomacorriente no esté conectado a un interruptor que le apague la corriente.
3. Compruebe que la desbastadora esté bien conectada al transformador de carga, que todas las
conexiones estén fijas y que el interruptor de la desbastadora esté apagado “OFF - 0.”
4. Si la electricidad está conectada a un interruptor de corriente principal, sugerimos que se desconecte
la recortadora del cargador en cualquier momento en que el interruptor principal esté en la posición
de apagado. Al dejar la unidad enchufada en una toma desconectada o cargador desenchufado se
drenará la pila.
5. La señal de indicación de carga se iluminara una vez que el botón de prender/apagar del aparato se

cual se puede cargar cuantas veces lo desee.
CAMBIO DE LA PILA DE LITIO ION, DESECHO DE LA

ACEITE:

deben aceitar cada varios cortes. Para
obtener mejores resultados, coloque
tres gotas en frente de cada cuchilla

LIMPIEZA:

1. Peine el cabello y elimine los nudos.
Coloque el peine protector más grande en

MANTENIMIENTO DE LA CORTADORA
Cuando corte su cabello, debe visualizar la cabeza como si estuviera dividida en cuatro
secciones. La siguiente imagen muestra las diferentes secciones. El uso de técnicas
adecuadas cuando se desplaza de una sección a la siguiente lo ayudará a combinar las
secciones para obtener resultados de aspecto profesional.
• La primera vez que corte el cabello, corte solo una pequeña cantidad hasta que se
acostumbre al largo del cabello que logra con cada protector.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, el cabello debe estar seco antes de utilizar la
cortadora.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, al cortar el cabello recórralo a una velocidad lenta y
uniforme. No haga fuerza sobre la cortadora al pasarla por el cabello.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, corte el cabello en contra de la dirección del
crecimiento, para que pueda tomar más cabello con la protección.
• Las cuchillas de su nueva cortadora se deben aceitar cada varios cortes.

INSTRUCCIONES DE LAS BATERÍAS DE LA RECORTADORA
Algunos juegos de cortadora incluyen una recortadora de baterías, su juego podría o podría no incluir una recortadora
1. Retire la cubierta de la batería de la recortadora presionando la puerta de plástico hacia adentro y atrás, en el sentido
que indica la flecha.
2. IMPORTANTE: Asegúrese de colocar primero el extremo de carga negativa (-) de cada batería para que comprima el
resorte ubicado en la parte inferior del compartimento de la batería. Luego, deslice el extremo positivo (+) para
colocarlo en su posición. No permita que los sujetadores del extremo negativo se doblen y corten la carcasa de las
baterías. Use baterías alcalinas en su cortadora Wahl. Las baterías alcalinas le brindarán el tiempo de funcionamiento
más prolongado antes de necesitar un reemplazo. La cortadora debe funcionar aproximadamente tres horas con
baterías alcalinas.
3. Vuelva a colocar la cubierta de las baterías en su posición original.
UTILIZANDO LA RECORTADORA/ DETALLADORA:
1. LImpie y lubrique las cuchillas de la recortadora
como indicado.
2. Coloque el interruptor en “ON” para usarla.

INSTRUCCIONES DE RECARGA
1. Saque la cortadora, transformador de recarga y accesorios del material de empacado.
2. El electrodoméstico se debe cargar durante 3 a 5 horas, antes de utilizarlo por primera vez. Después
de la primera carga, la recarga completa de la pila también se demorará entre 3 y 5 horas. El indicador
de carga alumbra durante la carga. El indicador de carga empieza a titilar cuando la carga está casi
completa y se apaga al concluir la carga.
3. Después de la carga inicial, puede hacer una “carga rápida” de su cortadora durante 15
minutos. Esto debería darle suficiente carga para un corte de cabello.
4. Enchufe el transformador de recarga a cualquier toma de corriente eléctrica conveniente al voltaje
correcto.
5. Cuando no esté utilizando la desbastadora, la puede tener conectada al transformador y al tomacorriente,
para que tenga la máxima corriente para el próximo uso. El transformador está diseñado para cargar la pila
sin sobrecargarla.
6. Debe desconectar el cable de carga de la cortadora cuando no la esté cargando. Dejar el
cable conectado a la cortadora cuando no está conectado a un tomacorriente podría hacer
que se drene la batería.
7. La desbastadora recargable se puede utilizar con el cable, para desbastar aunque tenga poca carga. El
indicador de carga prende cuando la desbastadora esté en la posición “OFF” y conectada al cargador,
y permanece PRENDIDO al utilizarla con el cable. No hay forma de sobrecargar la desbastadora, así
que la puede cargar las veces que quiera.

El cable no debe ser usado para tirar de la cortadora. Debido a que la libertad de
movimientos ha de mantenerse, se necesita una atención especial al cable para que este no
se retuerza o quede obstruido. Cuando guarde la cortadora, el cable debe ser enrollado y la
unidad ha de guardarse en su caja original, o soporte (si se provee), lejos del alcance de los
niños.
LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPARACIÓN DE FALLOS
Si su recortadora Groomsman no parece cargarse, compruebe lo siguiente antes de enviarla para su
reparación.
1. Confirme el funcionamiento del tomacorriente al conectar otro electrodoméstico.
2. Compruebe que el tomacorriente no esté conectado a un interruptor que le apague la corriente.
3. Compruebe que la desbastadora esté bien conectada al transformador de carga, que todas las
conexiones estén fijas y que el interruptor de la desbastadora esté apagado “OFF - 0.”
4. Si la electricidad está conectada a un interruptor de corriente principal, sugerimos que se desconecte
la recortadora del cargador en cualquier momento en que el interruptor principal esté en la posición
de apagado. Al dejar la unidad enchufada en una toma desconectada o cargador desenchufado se
drenará la pila.
5. La señal de indicación de carga se iluminara una vez que el botón de prender/apagar del aparato se
encuentre en “APAGADO” y esté conectado al cargador. El aparato no puede ser sobrecargado, por lo
cual se puede cargar cuantas veces lo desee.
CAMBIO DE LA PILA DE LITIO ION, DESECHO DE LA
CORTADORA Y RECICLAJE:
• Para cambiar la pila, envíele toda la recortadora intacta a:

• No intente sacar la pila. Las pilas de litio ion pueden explotar, incendiarse o causar quemaduras si se

Las pilas de litio ion están sujetas a reglamentos de desechos locales. Muchos lugares prohíben el

ACEITE:
Las cuchillas de su nueva cortadora se
deben aceitar cada varios cortes. Para
obtener mejores resultados, coloque
tres gotas en frente de cada cuchilla
y una gota a cada lado de la cuchilla
como se indica. Utilice solamente
aceite para cortadora Wahl (en este kit
se incluye una botella pequeña; puede
comprar aceite adicional por separado;

LIMPIEZA:
Para quitar el pelo entre las cuchillas, use el cepillo de limpieza incluido. NO UTILICE

PALANCA GUÍA:
La palanca guía agrega versatilidad a su cortadora

las cuchillas se atascaran con cabello, mueva la palanca
hacia arriba y abajo varias veces. Esto ayudará a liberar
las cuchillas.
• Los protectores le ayudan a cortar
el cabello a la longitud deseada
manteniendo las cuchillas a una
distancia específica de la piel, lo que
ayuda a garantizar que la longitud del
cabello sea uniforme. Como referencia,
cada protector está numerado, y
también especifica cuánto tiempo
estará el cabello después de cortarlo.
• Los tamaños de los protectores
varían. Siempre utilice un protector de
más longitud (siempre puede utilizar
un protector más corto si descubre que
el cabello no está lo suficientemente
corto).
• La primera vez que corte el cabello,

LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPARACIÓN DE FALLOS
Si su recortadora Groomsman no parece cargarse, compruebe lo siguiente antes de enviarla para su

1. Retire la cubierta de la batería de la recortadora presionando la puerta de plástico hacia adentro y atrás, en el sentido

INSTRUCCIONES DE LAS BATERÍAS DE LA RECORTADORA
Algunos juegos de cortadora incluyen una recortadora de baterías, su juego podría o podría no incluir una recortadora
1. Retire la cubierta de la batería de la recortadora presionando la puerta de plástico hacia adentro y atrás, en el sentido
que indica la flecha.
2. IMPORTANTE: Asegúrese de colocar primero el extremo de carga negativa (-) de cada batería para que comprima el
resorte ubicado en la parte inferior del compartimento de la batería. Luego, deslice el extremo positivo (+) para
colocarlo en su posición. No permita que los sujetadores del extremo negativo se doblen y corten la carcasa de las
baterías. Use baterías alcalinas en su cortadora Wahl. Las baterías alcalinas le brindarán el tiempo de funcionamiento
más prolongado antes de necesitar un reemplazo. La cortadora debe funcionar aproximadamente tres horas con
baterías alcalinas.
3. Vuelva a colocar la cubierta de las baterías en su posición original.
UTILIZANDO LA RECORTADORA/ DETALLADORA:
1. LImpie y lubrique las cuchillas de la recortadora
como indicado.
2. Coloque el interruptor en “ON” para usarla.
3. Para mejor resultados de la recortadora de baterias,
vea las instrucciones para detallar/dar contorno.

INSTRUCCIONES DE RECARGA
1. Saque la cortadora, transformador de recarga y accesorios del material de empacado.
2. El electrodoméstico se debe cargar durante 3 a 5 horas, antes de utilizarlo por primera vez. Después
de la primera carga, la recarga completa de la pila también se demorará entre 3 y 5 horas. El indicador
de carga alumbra durante la carga. El indicador de carga empieza a titilar cuando la carga está casi
completa y se apaga al concluir la carga.
3. Después de la carga inicial, puede hacer una “carga rápida” de su cortadora durante 15
minutos. Esto debería darle suficiente carga para un corte de cabello.
4. Enchufe el transformador de recarga a cualquier toma de corriente eléctrica conveniente al voltaje
correcto.
5. Cuando no esté utilizando la desbastadora, la puede tener conectada al transformador y al tomacorriente,
para que tenga la máxima corriente para el próximo uso. El transformador está diseñado para cargar la pila
sin sobrecargarla.
6. Debe desconectar el cable de carga de la cortadora cuando no la esté cargando. Dejar el
cable conectado a la cortadora cuando no está conectado a un tomacorriente podría hacer
que se drene la batería.
7. La desbastadora recargable se puede utilizar con el cable, para desbastar aunque tenga poca carga. El
indicador de carga prende cuando la desbastadora esté en la posición “OFF” y conectada al cargador,
y permanece PRENDIDO al utilizarla con el cable. No hay forma de sobrecargar la desbastadora, así
que la puede cargar las veces que quiera.

El cable no debe ser usado para tirar de la cortadora. Debido a que la libertad de
movimientos ha de mantenerse, se necesita una atención especial al cable para que este no
se retuerza o quede obstruido. Cuando guarde la cortadora, el cable debe ser enrollado y la
unidad ha de guardarse en su caja original, o soporte (si se provee), lejos del alcance de los
niños.
LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPARACIÓN DE FALLOS
Si su recortadora Groomsman no parece cargarse, compruebe lo siguiente antes de enviarla para su
reparación.
1. Confirme el funcionamiento del tomacorriente al conectar otro electrodoméstico.
2. Compruebe que el tomacorriente no esté conectado a un interruptor que le apague la corriente.
3. Compruebe que la desbastadora esté bien conectada al transformador de carga, que todas las
conexiones estén fijas y que el interruptor de la desbastadora esté apagado “OFF - 0.”
4. Si la electricidad está conectada a un interruptor de corriente principal, sugerimos que se desconecte
la recortadora del cargador en cualquier momento en que el interruptor principal esté en la posición
de apagado. Al dejar la unidad enchufada en una toma desconectada o cargador desenchufado se
drenará la pila.
5. La señal de indicación de carga se iluminara una vez que el botón de prender/apagar del aparato se

LIMPIEZA:

MANTENIMIENTO DE LA CORTADORA
Cuando corte su cabello, debe visualizar la cabeza como si estuviera dividida en cuatro
secciones. La siguiente imagen muestra las diferentes secciones. El uso de técnicas
adecuadas cuando se desplaza de una sección a la siguiente lo ayudará a combinar las
secciones para obtener resultados de aspecto profesional.
• La primera vez que corte el cabello, corte solo una pequeña cantidad hasta que se
acostumbre al largo del cabello que logra con cada protector.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, el cabello debe estar seco antes de utilizar la
cortadora.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, al cortar el cabello recórralo a una velocidad lenta y
uniforme. No haga fuerza sobre la cortadora al pasarla por el cabello.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, corte el cabello en contra de la dirección del
crecimiento, para que pueda tomar más cabello con la protección.
• Las cuchillas de su nueva cortadora se deben aceitar cada varios cortes.

INSTRUCCIONES DE LAS BATERÍAS DE LA RECORTADORA
Algunos juegos de cortadora incluyen una recortadora de baterías, su juego podría o podría no incluir una recortadora
1. Retire la cubierta de la batería de la recortadora presionando la puerta de plástico hacia adentro y atrás, en el sentido
que indica la flecha.
2. IMPORTANTE: Asegúrese de colocar primero el extremo de carga negativa (-) de cada batería para que comprima el
resorte ubicado en la parte inferior del compartimento de la batería. Luego, deslice el extremo positivo (+) para
colocarlo en su posición. No permita que los sujetadores del extremo negativo se doblen y corten la carcasa de las
baterías. Use baterías alcalinas en su cortadora Wahl. Las baterías alcalinas le brindarán el tiempo de funcionamiento
más prolongado antes de necesitar un reemplazo. La cortadora debe funcionar aproximadamente tres horas con
baterías alcalinas.
3. Vuelva a colocar la cubierta de las baterías en su posición original.
UTILIZANDO LA RECORTADORA/ DETALLADORA:
1. LImpie y lubrique las cuchillas de la recortadora
como indicado.
2. Coloque el interruptor en “ON” para usarla.
3. Para mejor resultados de la recortadora de baterias,
vea las instrucciones para detallar/dar contorno.

INSTRUCCIONES DE RECARGA
1. Saque la cortadora, transformador de recarga y accesorios del material de empacado.
2. El electrodoméstico se debe cargar durante 3 a 5 horas, antes de utilizarlo por primera vez. Después
de la primera carga, la recarga completa de la pila también se demorará entre 3 y 5 horas. El indicador
de carga alumbra durante la carga. El indicador de carga empieza a titilar cuando la carga está casi
completa y se apaga al concluir la carga.
3. Después de la carga inicial, puede hacer una “carga rápida” de su cortadora durante 15
minutos. Esto debería darle suficiente carga para un corte de cabello.
4. Enchufe el transformador de recarga a cualquier toma de corriente eléctrica conveniente al voltaje
correcto.
5. Cuando no esté utilizando la desbastadora, la puede tener conectada al transformador y al tomacorriente,
para que tenga la máxima corriente para el próximo uso. El transformador está diseñado para cargar la pila
sin sobrecargarla.
6. Debe desconectar el cable de carga de la cortadora cuando no la esté cargando. Dejar el
cable conectado a la cortadora cuando no está conectado a un tomacorriente podría hacer
que se drene la batería.
7. La desbastadora recargable se puede utilizar con el cable, para desbastar aunque tenga poca carga. El
indicador de carga prende cuando la desbastadora esté en la posición “OFF” y conectada al cargador,
y permanece PRENDIDO al utilizarla con el cable. No hay forma de sobrecargar la desbastadora, así
que la puede cargar las veces que quiera.

El cable no debe ser usado para tirar de la cortadora. Debido a que la libertad de
movimientos ha de mantenerse, se necesita una atención especial al cable para que este no
se retuerza o quede obstruido. Cuando guarde la cortadora, el cable debe ser enrollado y la
unidad ha de guardarse en su caja original, o soporte (si se provee), lejos del alcance de los
niños.
LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPARACIÓN DE FALLOS
Si su recortadora Groomsman no parece cargarse, compruebe lo siguiente antes de enviarla para su
reparación.
1. Confirme el funcionamiento del tomacorriente al conectar otro electrodoméstico.
2. Compruebe que el tomacorriente no esté conectado a un interruptor que le apague la corriente.
3. Compruebe que la desbastadora esté bien conectada al transformador de carga, que todas las
conexiones estén fijas y que el interruptor de la desbastadora esté apagado “OFF - 0.”
4. Si la electricidad está conectada a un interruptor de corriente principal, sugerimos que se desconecte
la recortadora del cargador en cualquier momento en que el interruptor principal esté en la posición
de apagado. Al dejar la unidad enchufada en una toma desconectada o cargador desenchufado se
drenará la pila.
5. La señal de indicación de carga se iluminara una vez que el botón de prender/apagar del aparato se
encuentre en “APAGADO” y esté conectado al cargador. El aparato no puede ser sobrecargado, por lo
cual se puede cargar cuantas veces lo desee.
CAMBIO DE LA PILA DE LITIO ION, DESECHO DE LA
CORTADORA Y RECICLAJE:
• Para cambiar la pila, envíele toda la recortadora intacta a:

• No intente sacar la pila. Las pilas de litio ion pueden explotar, incendiarse o causar quemaduras si se
desarman, se dañan o las exponen al agua o altas temperaturas.
• Si decide no cambiar la pila, debe desechar toda la cortadora. No intente sacar la pila para desecharla.
Las pilas de litio ion están sujetas a reglamentos de desechos locales. Muchos lugares prohíben el
desecho en recipientes de basura corrientes. Consulte las leyes y reglamentos locales.
• Para el reciclaje, contacte a la agencia de reciclaje gubernamental, el servicio de basuras, el
comerciante minorista o las fuentes de reciclaje en línea, tal como www.batteryrecycling.com o www.
rbrc.org.
ACEITE:
Las cuchillas de su nueva cortadora se
deben aceitar cada varios cortes. Para
obtener mejores resultados, coloque
tres gotas en frente de cada cuchilla
y una gota a cada lado de la cuchilla
como se indica. Utilice solamente
aceite para cortadora Wahl (en este kit
se incluye una botella pequeña; puede
comprar aceite adicional por separado;
vea los detalles en www.grooming.
Wahl.com). NO USE ACEITE PARA
CABELLO, GRASA NI OTRO ACEITE
MEZCLADO CON QUEROSENO U
OTRO SOLVENTE.
LIMPIEZA:
Para quitar el pelo entre las cuchillas, use el cepillo de limpieza incluido. NO UTILICE
AGUA PARA LIMPIAR LAS CUCHILLAS. Para obtener mejores resultados,
después de limpiar las cuchillas con el cepillo añada aceite para cortadora Wahl a las
cuchillas.
PALANCA GUÍA:
La palanca guía agrega versatilidad a su cortadora
permitiéndole cambiar gradualmente la cercanía del corte.
(Arriba: corte más cercano. Abajo: corte más largo). Si
las cuchillas se atascaran con cabello, mueva la palanca
hacia arriba y abajo varias veces. Esto ayudará a liberar
las cuchillas.
• Los protectores le ayudan a cortar
el cabello a la longitud deseada
manteniendo las cuchillas a una
distancia específica de la piel, lo que
ayuda a garantizar que la longitud del
cabello sea uniforme. Como referencia,
cada protector está numerado, y
también especifica cuánto tiempo
estará el cabello después de cortarlo.
• Los tamaños de los protectores
varían. Siempre utilice un protector de
más longitud (siempre puede utilizar
un protector más corto si descubre que
el cabello no está lo suficientemente
corto).
• La primera vez que corte el cabello,
corte solo una pequeña cantidad hasta
que se acostumbre al largo del cabello
que logra con cada protector.
