Nostalgia CLHAP12AQ Questions and Answers

#1 Is there a place for butter?

No. The blue top comes off to measure popcorn but there is nothing for butter.

#2 Is the metal that comes in contact with the popcorn in a popcorn maker aluminum?

Yes it is aluminum.

#3 How many watts?

I’m not sure on this, check product details but I wouldn’t waist your time. It has the looks but doesn’t deliver.

#4 Does this have the mesh bottom on the inside?

I’m not sure. I tried several poppers including this one and returned them all. Now, I just put virgin olive oil in a pot and kernels on my stove and it does better than any popper!

#5 Can you add salt inside?

No nothing but popcorn goes inside any air popper !

#6 Is it BPA free?

Don't know about BPA but I was not very satisfied with the quality. The on/off toggle snapped and each time I have used it, there are many, many kernals of corn left that do not 'pop'. I had an Orville Redenbacher air popper previously and it did a much better job.
