Sony VRD-MC10 Questions and Answers

#1 How long does it take to finalize the disc? Can the disk be finalized later?

In reference to converting old VHS to DVD; there is an option to finalize later. The length of time it takes to finalize the disk as I recall isn't very long, especially compared to the time it takes to transcribe the source video.

#2 Can I record TV series to the Sony DVDirect VRDMC10 stand alone DVD recorder/Player.

Yes it can be done using this Sony VRDMC10 on a DVD recorder/Player

#3 Will this device capture and burn simultaneously while camera is recording?

YES it can. I use this one and the VRDMC6 to burn two dvd's at the same time while recording on my camcorder.

#4 Does this unit have to be hooked up to a tv in order to burn off of a Flip Video Camera straight to dvd?

Not sure but I think it should record without a tv hookup.

#5 Does this recorder video and audio jacks? Can I record right from my television set?

The recorder does have video and audio imput jacks. I have never tried to record from the TV but I see no reason it wouldn't work especially if you use a cable or satellite box.
