PROGRESS ” is displayed and the home
theatre searches for and stores radio
stations. After installation, the home
theatre plays the rst radio station it
found.
Note
The home theatre can store up to 40 radio •
stations.
You can press
• to stop the installation.
If you do not complete the installation, or if

fewer than ve stations are found, you are
prompted to install the radio stations again.
If fewer than ve stations are found or if a

stereo signal is not detected, check that the
FM antenna is connected correctly.

Connect to the Internet
Connect the home theatre to the Internet for
software updates and BD-Live applications
(see ‘BD-Live’ on page 18 ) . Ensure that you
have broadband access and that your rewall is
disabled. The network cable is not supplied.
1 Connect the home theatre to a
broadband modem or router.
2 Turn on your TV and switch to the
correct source for the home theatre.
3 Press , select [Settings] , and then press
OK .
4 Select [Advanced Setup] > [Network] >
[Next] .
5 Press OK .
The home theatre connects to the »
Internet. If connection fails, select
[Retry] , then press OK .
6 Select [Finish] , then press OK to exit.

Use a RJ45 straight cable. Do not use a cross •
cable.

Tip
Though your home theatre consumes •
very little power when on standby, energy
continues to be consumed. When not in use
for an extended period of time, disconnect the
power cable from the socket.

Play a disc
Your home theatre can play a wide variety of
discs, ranging from video (Blu-ray, DVD, VCD) to
audio and even mixed media discs (for example,
a CD-R that contains JPEG pictures and MP3
music).
1 Press to open the disc compartment.
2 Insert a disc with its label facing forward.
On double-sided discs, place the label
you want to play facing forward.
The disc compartment closes »
automatically. The disc plays or the
home theatre enters the disc main
menu.

1 If necessary, enable Bonus View or
Picture-In-Picture in the Blu-ray disc
menu.
2 During playback of the main feature, press
BONUS VIEW .
The Bonus View video appears on- »

3 Press BONUS VIEW to close the Bonus
View video.
BD-Live
BD-Live-enabled Blu-ray discs include exclusive
services such as online chat, games and other
online bonuses such as movie trailers.
Note
The range of BD-Live services depends on •

When you use BD-Live, data on the disc and

home theatre are accessed by the content
provider.
Before using BD-Live, ensure that the home

theatre is connected to the Internet and
that network access is properly set up (see

2 Turn on and dock the iPod.

listen to music or watch movies stored on a
USB storage device.

Play a musical slideshow
Play music and pictures simultaneously to
create a musical slideshow. The les must be
stored on the same disc or USB device.
1 Select a music track, then press (play).
2 Press BACK to return to the main
menu.
3 Select a picture, then press (play) to
start slideshow.
4 Press to stop slideshow.
5 Press again to stop music.
Synchronise audio with video
If the audio and video are not synchronized,
you can delay the audio to match the video.
1 Press AUDIO SYNC .

To play all discs irrespective of the rating, •
select a parental control level of ‘8’ for DVDs
and Blu-ray discs.

Set up EasyLink
Your home theatre supports Philips EasyLink,
which uses the HDMI CEC (Consumer
Electronics Control) protocol. You can use a
single remote control for HDMI CEC-compliant
devices that are connected through HDMI.
Before you change the EasyLink settings, turn
on the HDMI CEC operations for the TV and
other connected devices. See the TV and device
manuals for more information.
Note
Philips does not guarantee 100% •
interoperability with all HDMI CEC-compliant
devices.

Find the DivX VOD registration code
for your home theatre
DivX Video-on-Demand (VOD) is a digital
video delivery service that allows you to
download and buy video content from DivX
content partners.
Your home theatre has a DivX VOD
registration code. Before you can buy video
content, you must register your home theatre
on www.divx.com, using the registration code.
When you buy video content for your home
theatre, you can play it on this home theatre
only.
1 Press , select [Settings] , and then press
OK .
2 Select [Advanced Setup] > [DivX® VOD
Code] , then press OK .
The DivX VOD registration code is »

3 Write down the code so that you can use
it when you register your home theatre.
Restore factory settings
You can reset the home theatre to the default

Update software from a USB
device
1 Check for the latest software version on
www.philips.com/support.
Search for your model and click on •
‘software&drivers’.
2 Create a folder named ‘UPG’ in your USB
device.
3 Download the software into the ‘UPG’
folder.
4 Unzip the software in the ‘UPG’ folder.
5 Connect the USB device to the home
theatre.

Download] > [USB] .
8 Follow the instructions on the TV to
con rm the update.

7 Update software
To check for new updates, compare the current
software version of your home theatre with
the latest software version (if available) on the
Philips website.

Disconnect the home theatre from the •
socket for a few minutes, then reconnect.
