Routine Cleaning
If your vehicle is only slightly dirty, it is best to
clean it by hand with the aid of a stiff bristled
nylon brush and some clean rags.
A variety of reasonably priced cleaning brushes
are available from variety, drug, food, and
hardware stores. Some of these brushes are
extremely useful in removing dirt from the many
tight contours of the metal pieces of your
vehicle.
Avoid using stiff, abrasive brushes on the plastic
or rubber parts.
If your vehicle was exposed to sea air or salt
water, rinse it as soon as possible after the
event, dry it, and apply a spray lubricant to all
metal parts.
If you decide to wash your vehicle or use
cleaners, refer to "Caring for Your Vehicle".
