Visitor gains entry
Visitor presses call button to
contact resident.
Resident answers the call. Resident grants access
by pressing *9 or *5 or denies access by simply
hanging up.
When a visitor presses the “CALL” button, the system rings your telephone.
When the home phone receives a call from the EL1SS,
answer the call to initiate the audio and to speak to
visitor. To deny the caller access to the property, hang
up. To extend the talk time press 0 or continue talking.
NOTE: The home phone is a phone wired directly to the
EL1SS system. To use a cell phone, see call forwarding
instructions on next page (not available in intercom
mode).
CALL WAITING (Single Family Residence ONLY):
Press “Flash” once to answer guest, press again to
return to outside call on telco line, if *9 or *5 is not
pressed. If *9 (relay 1) or *5 (relay 2) is pressed, the
EL1SS will automatically return to the telco line.
GRANTING ACCESS:
Press * 9 to grant access through the door or gate
connected to Relay 1. The call will end.
or
Press * 5 to grant access through the door or gate
connected to Relay 2. The call will end.
Using Entry Codes:
An Entry Code allows access by entering a numeric code on the EL1SS keypad.
Enter your assigned Entry Code for access (see chart below). If you make an error
while entering your code, press “*” to cancel.
