Remove the lower cowl. 2 P. 99
2.
Disconnect the spark plug caps from the
spark plugs.
3.
Clean any dirt from around the spark plug
bases.
4.
Remove the spark plugs using a suitable
spark plug wrench.
5.
Inspect the electrodes and center
porcelain for deposits, erosion or carbon
fouling.
u If the erosion or deposit is heavy,
replace the plug.
6.
Make sure that a 1.2 mm wire-type feeler
gauge cannot be inserted between the
spark plug gap. If the gauge fits in the
gap, replace the plug with a new one.
