Notes on the AC adaptor
• Use only the supplied AC adaptor. To avoid damaging the unit, do not use any
other AC adaptor.
On placement
• Do not set the unit in an inclined position.
• Do not leave the unit in a place subject to high temperatures, such as direct
sunlight, near a heat source or under lighting equipment.
• Do not use or leave the unit in a car.
Others
• Do not use or leave the unit in an extremely cold or hot environment
(temperature outside the range of 5 °C – 35 °C (41 °F – 95 °F)). If the unit is used
or left in outside the above range, the unit may automatically stop to protect
internal circuitry.
• At high temperature, the charging may stop or the volume may reduce to
protect the battery.
• Even if you do not intend to use the unit for a long time, charge the battery to
its full capacity once every 6 months to maintain its performance.

Rechargeable batteries are recyclable.
You can help preserve our environment by returning your used rechargeable

Notes on the update
The software of this unit will be automatically updated to the latest software
while connected to the Internet via a Wi-Fi network.
The software update will be delivered from time to time when, for example, a
new feature becomes available or the update is required for stable use.
Such automatic software feature may not be disabled. Also, previous versions of
the software cannot be retrievable.
Do not turn off power of this unit while updating. The unit may not be operational
while updating.
To use this product, a Wi-Fi environment and Google Account are necessary, as
well as your consent to Google Terms of Use and/or Privacy Policy. By using this
product, you agree to Sony’s EULA. Software for this product is automatically
updated from time to time and you cannot choose or refuse to load such
automatic software.
Notes on water resistant and dust
proof features

Water resistant performance of the unit
This unit, with the cap fastened securely, has a water resistant specification of
IPX5*

However, this unit is not completely water-tight.
Do not drop the unit into hot water in a bathtub or purposely use it in water.

The supplied accessories and the connectors of this unit (USB/ DC IN) are neither
water resistant nor dust proof.
The water resistant performance of the unit is based on our measurements
under the conditions herein described. Note that malfunctions as a result of
water immersion caused by misuse by the customer are not covered by the
warranty.
To avoid the deterioration of the water resistant performance
Check the following and use the unit correctly.
• Be careful not to drop the unit or subject it to mechanical shock. Deformation or
damage may cause deterioration of the water resistant performance.
• Do not use the unit in a location where large amount of water or hot water may
splash on it. The unit does not have a design that is resistant to water pressure.
Use of the unit in the above location may cause a malfunction.
• Do not pour high-temperature water or blow hot air from a hair dryer or any
other appliance on the unit directly. Also, never use the unit in high temperature
locations such as in saunas or near a stove.
• Handle the cap with care. The cap plays a very important role in maintenance of
the water resistant performance. When using the unit, make sure that the cap is
closed completely.
When closing the cap, be careful not to allow foreign objects inside. If the cap is
not closed completely the water resistant performance may deteriorate and
may cause a malfunction of the unit as a result of water entering the unit.

How to care for the unit when wet
If the unit gets wet, first remove the water from the unit, and then wipe off the
moisture on the unit using a soft, dry cloth. Especially in cold regions, leaving
moisture on its surface may cause the unit to freeze and malfunction. Be sure to
wipe off the moisture after using the unit.
Put the unit on towel or dry cloth. Then leave it at room temperature and dry the
unit until no moisture remains.
On cleaning
• Do not use alcohol, benzine, or thinner to clean the cabinet.

WARNING

to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the
affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice. Secondary
cells and batteries need to be charged before use. Always use the correct charger
and refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or equipment manual for proper
charging instructions. After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to
charge and discharge the cells or batteries several times to obtain maximum
performance. Dispose of properly.
As the main plug of AC Adaptor is used to disconnect the AC adaptor from the
mains connect it to an easily accessible AC outlet. Should you notice an
abnormality in it, disconnect it from the AC outlet immediately.
The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is
connected to the wall outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off.

Data transmission is always initiated by software, which is the passed down
through the MAC, through the digital and analog baseband, and finally to the RF
chip. Several special packets are initiated by the MAC. These are the only ways the

the end of the packet. Therefore, the transmitter will be on only while one of the
aforementioned packets is being transmitted. In other words, this unit
automatically discontinues transmission in case of either absence of information

9) Pour des raisons de sécurité, veillez à utiliser une fiche polarisée ou une fiche
avec terre. Une fiche polarisée possède deux lames dont une est plus large
que l’autre. Une fiche avec terre possède deux lames et une broche de mise à
la masse. La lame large ou la troisième broche sont prévues pour votre
sécurité. Si la fiche fournie n’est pas adaptée à la prise, consultez un
électricien pour remplacer la prise obsolète.
10) Protégez le cordon d’alimentation afin d’éviter qu’il soit piétiné ou pincé, en
particulier au niveau des fiches, des prises de courant et du point de sortie de
l’appareil.

l'appareil est utilisé ou laissé à une température à l’extérieur de cette plage, il
pourrait s’arrêter automatiquement pour protéger le circuit interne.
• À des températures élevées, le chargement peut s’interrompre ou le volume
peut être réduit pour protéger la batterie.
• Même si vous envisagez de ne pas utiliser l'appareil pendant une période
prolongée, chargez entièrement la batterie tous les 6 mois pour maintenir son
niveau de performance.
