Poultry: Uses pressure to cook boneless and bone-in poultry to tender or very tender texture. Do
not fill cooking pot more than 2/3.
Meat/Stew: Uses pressure to cook boneless and bone-in meat to tender or very tender texture.
Melds and develops deep stew flavors. Do not fill cooking pot more than 2/3.
Beans/Chili: Uses pressure to cook beans until they are soft or very soft as if they were
simmering for hours while still retaining their shape. Melds and develops deep chili flavors. Do
not fill cooking pot more than 1/2.
Soup/Broth: Uses pressure to simmer soups and broths to achieve the deepest flavors in a short
amount of time. Do not fill cooking pot more than 2/3.
Rice: Uses pressure to cook rice to your desired doneness: just cooked, tender and very tender.
Combine white rice with equal parts water. Do not fill cooking pot more than 1/2.
Multigrain: Uses pressure to cook a variety of grain sizes, from quinoa to wheat berries. Typically
combine grains with 1 ½ times the amount of water. Do not fill cooking pot more than 1/2.
Porridge: Uses pressure to make a variety of porridges, from simple rolled oats to mixed varieties
and steel cut oats. Combine oats and other grains with 1 ½ times the amount of water or other
liquids such as milk or almond milk. Combine steel cut oats with 2 ¼ times the amount of water. Do
not fill cooking pot more than 1/2.
Pressure Cook: Use as a manual pressure cooking function. Select desired pressure level and time
based on your preference and past cooking experience.
Slow Cook: Functions like your typical slow cooker. May be programmed to cook at a preset low
temperature for up to 20 hours.
Sauté: Use WITHOUT the lid to soften and caramelize vegetables. May also be used to brown foods
before pressure cooking or slow cooking, or to cook quick-cooking foods like shrimp.
Steam: Gentle pressure cooking; ideal for very delicate foods like vegetables, fish and custard-
based desserts. Requires steam rack and water.
Egg: Uses pressure to cook eggs to soft-, medium- or hard-boiled consistency. Simply place eggs
in cooking pot with 1 cup water. Use steam rack, if desired.
Cake: Uses pressure to cook moist cakes and cheesecake. Use with steam rack and small, separate
cake pan.
Yogurt: Boils milk to pasteurize it and then allows it to ferment with a yogurt starter in a
temperature-controlled environment.
-, Hours/Minutes, + Buttons: Use to adjust cooking time. Press - to decrease time and + to increase
time. Press Hours/Minutes to toggle between hours value and minutes value.
Sterilize: Uses pressure to sterilize various items such as cutlery. Add 1 cup water to the cooking
pot, insert steam rack and place items on rack.
Pressure Level: Use to change pressure level from High to Low or vice versa.
Delay: May be used to delay the cooking start time up to 24 hours. Use this feature to perfectly
time just-cooked meals. Does not apply to Sauté, Yogurt or Sterilize.
Start: Press the START button after selecting a function.
Keep Warm: Multi Cooker automatically switches to Keep Warm when any of the programs finish,
except Sauté, Yogurt and Sterilize. Heater remains on—at a lower temperature than the other
functions—for up to 99 hours and 50 seconds to keep foods at a food-safe temperature for serving.
Cancel: Press the CANCEL button to cancel a selected function or reset Multi Cooker
at any time.
