#1 I have a tassimo viva 2 and the red light for rescaling has come on. The instructions state putting the tablets in the water tank. It has a round black disc in a compartment in the water tank. What is it and what’s it for?

Thanks for your question, the disc in the water rank is the water float.

#2 Does this one use the pods?also can it be used for boiling water for like the nescafe carmel latte sachets etc?

Pods are not included also there is not an option just for hot water. You have to insert a pod for it to dispense a drink.

#3 what does the cup light amber constantly on plus water tank red light constantly lit mean ? Tried to reset but nothing happens.

We would advise that this may mean that the water tank has not been inserted correctly or to clean the water tank and free the float.

#4 Why is my coffee showing the top amber light but not working ?

Thanks for your query, I would recommend to clean and descale the appliance including cleaning the barcode reader. If this doesn't resolve the issue I would recommend to arrange an engineer inspection.
