Unpackthegrillimmediatelyafterreceipt.Ifthemachineisfoundtobedamaged,savethepackagingmaterial

PROPER GROUNDING
THIS MACHINE IS PROVIDED WITH A THREE-PRONG GROUNDING PLUG.
THE OUTLET TO WHICH THIS PLUG IS CONNECTED MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED. IF THE
RECEPTACLE IS NOT THE PROPER GROUNDING TYPE, CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT, UNDER
ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD GROUND PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD OR

1. Readthismanualthoroughlybeforeinstallationandoperation.DONOTproceedwithinstallationand
operationifyouhaveanyquestionsordonotunderstandanythinginthismanual.Contactyourlocal
representativeorGloberst.
2. Removethegrillfromthebox.Onceyourgrillhasbeenremovedfromthepackaging,becertainthatall
protectiveplasticsandresiduesareremovedfromallsurfaces.
3. Selectalocationforthegrillthathasalevel,solid,nonskidsurfacethatisnonammableandaway
fromwaterhazardsorsinks,andisinawell-lightedworkareaawayfromchildrenandvisitors.
4. Inspectthegrilltoensureallpartshavebeenprovided(i.e.-catchtray,feetx4,groovedscraper-suppliedfor
thegroovedpaniniplategrillsonly).
5. TheinstallationofthegrillmustconformtotheNATIONALELECTRICCODEANDALLLOCALELECTRIC
CODESANDORDINANCESANDALLTHELOCALELECTRICALCOMPANYRULESANDREGULATIONS.
Additionally,werecommendthatthegrillisalloweda4”spacingsurroundingtheunitinordertoprovide
adequateventilation.

Thesegrillsarewiredforusewithastandard240V/ACreceptacleandmaybepluggedintoany
convenientoutlet.Duetothehighcurrentdraw,theseunitsshouldbeoperatedonadedicated,correctlyrated
circuit.
7. Properconnectionsandpowersupplyareessentialforefcientperformance.
8. Theexternalwiringshouldbeinconduitoranapprovedtypeofexiblecablesuitableforoperationat
temperatureindicatedattheconduithole,andinapropersizetocarrytheload.
9. Thesupplycircuitshouldbeproperlyfusedandequippedwithameansofdisconnecting,asrequiredbythe
localelectricalcode.Foragrillwithplugsandleadsset,simplyprovideasuitablepowerpoint
andconnect.
TheGlobeelectricpaninigrillisequippedforthevoltageindicatedonthenameplate
mountedontherearoftheunit.Thispaninigrillisdesignedforuseonalternating
current(AC)only.
ThisequipmentgetsEXTREMELYHOTsomakesureallammable/combustible
materialsaresetawayfromthisequipment.

Installfeetbyscrewingeachfootintothethreadedopeningsonthebottomofthegrill.Failuretouse
feetwillvoidwarrantyandcouldcauseunsafeconditions.
Leveling
Levelunitbyadjustingthefourfeetandtightensecurely.Feethaveanadjustmentofoneinchtoallowlineupwith
otherGlobecountertopequipment.Checkthefeetevery60daystoensuretheyaretight.
Assembly
Takethewastetrayandslideitintotherunnersbelowtheelementsandplaceintotherack.Onceinpositionthe
wastetraywillcatchanyfoodproductcrumbs,greaseordrippings.
COMMISSIONING:
Commissioningofyournewgrillisoftheutmostimportance.Commissioningisthethoroughandmethodicaltesting
oftheequipment,subsystems,andsystemstoensurethatthenalproductfunctionsproperlyandsafelyatthe
worksite.Byidentifyinganypotentialproblems(i.e.equipmentlocation,ventilation,localre/electricalcodes,
installation,operatortrainingandcertication)priortoequipmentbeingplacedintoservice,costlyoutagesand
potentialdamagesmaybeavoided.

• Globetakeseverycaretoensurethatallproductsaresafe.Steelcuttingproceduresusedtomanufacture
theseitemsresultinsharpedges.Thesesharpedgesareremovedtothebestofourability;however,we
insisttheoperatortakecarewhenincontactwiththispieceofequipment.
• Duringoperationthegrillreacheshightemperatures,inturn,heatinganystainlesssteelsurfaces.
Takeextremecarewhenoperating.Onlyhandlethegrillbyitshandlestoeliminateaccidents.
• Switchoffpoweranddisconnectfromthemain/wallplugforcleaning.
• Allowthegrilltocooldownafteruseandbeforedismantlingforcleaning;theunitwillbetoohotto
handleimmediatelyafteruse.
• TheGlobegrillisequippedforthevoltageindicatedonthenameplatemountedontherearof
theunit.Thisgrillisdesignedforuseonalternatingcurrent(AC)only.

Operating the Electric Grill
Beforeoperatinggrill,itshouldbecheckedtoseethatitissittinglevel.Adjustthefeettolevelthegrill.Besurethe
catchtrayhasbeenproperlyplaced.
Wipeawayallthepetroleumoilthatiscoveringtheplates.Thisisonlyaprotectantforshipping.Wipeawayas
muchasyoucanandthenheatuptheunittoburnofftheremainingoil.Oncetheexcesspetroleumoilisburned
away,apumicestone,grillstone,orastainlesssteelbrushcanbeusedtobrushawaytheburntoil.
Allow 20-40 minutes for grilling plates to heat up.
NOTE: Upon rst use, grill may emit a metal-burning smell.
This is normal and the smell will dissipate with use.
Season the surface:
Thegrillshaveacastironcookingsurface.Seasonthesurfacewithvegetableoil.
Cleanthecookingsurfacethoroughly.Afterthecookingsurfacehasbeenthoroughlycleaned,itshouldbe
seasonedtopreventfoodfromsticking.Beforeusing,andafteruse,thoroughlyscourandseasonthecooking
surfacebyheatingthesurfaceinthefollowingmanner:
1. AdjusttheOn/Offswitchtothe“On”positionandadjustthetemperaturecontroldialto350°F.
2. Useacleancloth,notaspatula,andspreadathinlmofcookingoilorfatoverthegrillcookingsurface.
Thislmshouldremainonthehotgrillfor30minutes.
3. Removetheexcessoil/fatandwipeclean.ThegrillsurfacewillbeHOT.
4. Applyanotherlmofcookingoilorfatoverthehotcookingsurfaceforanother30minutesand,again
removetheexcessoil/fatandwipeclean.ThegrillsurfacewillbeHOT.
Thegrillsurfaceisnowreadyforuse.
EVENWITHCAREFULSEASONING,FOODMAYSTICKTOTHEGRILLCOOKINGSURFACEUNTILTHE
GRILLPLATEIS“BROKENIN”.
Temperature Control
Thetemperatureisthermostaticallycontrolled.BesuretheOn/Offswitchisinthe“On”positionandadjustthe
thermostatdialtothedesiredsetting.NOTE:Consideralowerheatforgrillingmeats(360°F-430°F)
Cooking
1. AdjusttheOn/Offswitchtothe“On”position.
2. Setthethermostatdialknobatthedesiredtemperature.
3. Afterapreheatingperiod,thethermostatwillautomaticallymaintaintheselectedtemperature.
4. Whenthesettemperatureismet,theindicatorlightwillgooff.
5. Ensurethegrillisonandhasmetthedesiredtemperature.
6. Usingthehandle,raisethetopofthegrilltoexposethetopofthegrillplate.
7. Placethefoodproductontothegrilland,usingthehandle,lowerthetopgrillplatedownontothe
foodproduct.
8. Aftereachtimethegrillisloaded,withacloth,papertowel,atspatulaorsuppliedscrapper,pushthe
excessgreaseintothecatchtray.Ifnecessary,emptythegreasereceptaclebeforeyouresumegrilling.
The grill surface and grease will be HOT.

Paninigrillsequippedwithtimerscanbeprogrammedandstoreuptofour(4)differentcookingtimes.Timerscan
besetfrom5secondsto15minutes.
Setting up the timers
1.Makesuretheunitispluggedinandturnedon.Usethetemperaturedialtosetthedesiredtemperature.
Ondeluxedoubleunits,makesurethetemperaturedialisturnedonforeachgrillsurface.
2.Pressthenumber1locatedonthetouchpadofthegrilluntiltheLEDdisplaybeginstoblink.
3.Presstheupordownarrowkeystothedesiredtimeofyourrsttimer.
4. Oncethetimeisreached,leavethegrilluntoucheduntilthedisplaystopsblinkingORpressthenumber
“1”timeronetimesothedisplaystopsblinking.
Timerselection,number1isnowprogrammed.
Repeatthestepsabove,usingthenumberofthetimertobeprogrammed,tosettimers2through4.
Oncethegrilltimershavebeensetandthecookingtemperatureofthegrillhasbeenreached,itisnowreadyfor
use.
Using the Preset Timers
1.Makesuretheunithasreachedthedesiredtemperature.
2. Placefoodontheopengrillandclosethetopplateusingthehandle.
3.Pressoneofthefournumberscontainingthetimesthathavebeenpreviouslyset.
4. Pressthe“Start”buttonlocatednexttotheLEDdisplay.(Inorderforyourtimetobegincountingdown,
thestartbuttonMUSTbepressedeachtimeatimerisselected.)
Thetimerwillbegintocountdown.Oncetimereachesthezeros,theLEDdisplaywillblink00:00andve
quick‘beeps’willindicatethatthetimerhasnisheditscycle.
5. Tendtothefoodbeingprepared.
Repeatsteps1-5asmanytimesasnecessary.
Note:Torestartthesametimeaspreviouslyused,pressthe“Start”buttonagain.Thetimernumberselectiondoes
nothavetobechosenagain.
• Tointerruptadescendingcycletime,press“Stop”.TheLEDdisplaywillthenblinkwiththetimeremaining.
(Note:Whenitscycleisinterrupted,timecannotbeaddedtothetimeroncethetimerbeginstocountdown)
• Tocontinueadescendingcycletimefromwhereitleftoff,pressthe“Start”button.
• Ifyouneedtorestartatimefromthebeginning,stopthecurrenttimercycle.Then,selectoneofthepreset
timers(1-4)andpressthe“Start”button.
Toreprogramorchangeatimer’spresettime,followtheinstructionsunder“Setting up the timers”.

Limited Warranty
GlobeFoodEquipmentCompany(“GFE”)warrantstotheoriginalpurchaserofnewequipmentthatsaidequipment,
wheninstalledinaccordancewithourinstructionswithinNorthAmericaandsubjectedtonormaluse,isfreefrom
defectsinmaterialorworkmanshipforaperiodof1year.Thelaborwarrantyisoneyearfromoriginalinstallation
or 18 months from actual factory shipment date whichever date occurs rst. Warranty includes onsite service
callswithin60milesofanauthorizedservicecompany.Enduserisresponsibleforallextratravelandmileageat
prevailingrates.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OFALL OTHER WARRANTIES,WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. GFE
EXPRESSLYDISCLAIMSANYIMPLIEDWARRANTYOFMERCHANTABILITYOREXPRESSEDORIMPLIED
WARRANTYOFFITNESSFORAPARTICULARPURPOSE.
GFE’SOBLIGATIONANDLIABILITYUNDERTHISWARRANTYISEXPRESSLYLIMITEDTOREPAIRINGAND
REPLACINGEQUIPMENTWHICHPROVESTOBE DEFECTIVE IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIPWITHIN
THEAPPLICABLEWARRANTYPERIOD.AllrepairspursuanttothisWarrantywillbeperformedbyanAuthorized
DesignatedGFEServiceLocationduringnormalworkinghours.Thiswarrantydoesnotcoverservicesperformed
at overtime or premium labor rates. End user is responsible for the difference between normal service rates
andpremium service rates. IN NOEVENTSHALLGFE BE LIABLE FORINCIDENTALOR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGESTO BUYER ORANYTHIRD PARTY, INCLUDING, WITHOUTLIMITATION, LOSS OF PROPERTY,
PERSONALINJURY,LOSSOFBUSINESSORPROFITSOROTHERECONOMICLOSSES,ORSTATUTORY
OREXEMPLARYDAMAGES,WHETHERINNEGLIGENCE,WARRANTY,STRICTLIABILITY,OROTHERWISE.
Thiswarrantyisgivenonlytotherstpurchaserfromaretaildealer.Nowarrantyisgiventosubsequenttransferees.
Warrantydoesnotcoverproductfailurescausedby:failuretomaintain,neglect,abuse,damageduetoexcess
water,re,normalwear,impropersetupanduse.Periodicmaintenanceisnotcovered.
Thiswarrantyisnotinforceuntilsuchtimeasaproperlycompletedandsignedinstallation/warrantyregistrationor
anonlineregistrationformhasbeenreceivedbyGFEwithin30daysfromthedateofinstallation.Registeronline

Proofofpurchaseisrequiredtoextendwarrantymorethan1yearfromdateofshipmentfromthefactory.
THEFOREGOING WARRANTY PROVISIONSAREACOMPLETEAND EXCLUSIVE STATEMENTBETWEEN
THEBUYERANDSELLER.GFENEITHERASSUMESNORAUTHORIZESANYPERSONSTOASSUMEFOR
ITANYOTHEROBLIGATIONORLIABILITYINCONNECTIONWITHSAIDEQUIPMENT.
Exampleofitemsnotcoveredunderwarranty,butnotlimitedtojusttheseitems:
1. ActsofGod,re,waterdamage,burglary,accident,theft.
2. Freightdamage.
3. Improperinstallationoralterationofequipment.
4. Useofgenericoraftermarketparts.
5. RepairsmadebyanyoneotherthanaGFEdesignatedservicer.
6. Lubrication.
7. Expendablewearparts,adjustablefeet,blownfuses,lamps,etc.
8. Cleaningofequipment.
9. Misuseorabuse.
