Hunter 59243 Questions and Answers

#1 Can this be hardwired to use a light switch and a fan speed control switch?

No, however there a couple of compatible wall switches that communicate with the receiver in the fan. Look for Hunter #99373, 99375 or Casablanca 99195.

#2 I purchased 3 fans for the bedrooms in my home . One remote controls two of the fans . How can I correct this? !

You need to link (pair) the remote to the one fan that you want to change. Here are the instructions:
1. Turn the power to your fan off for 5-10 seconds and then back on using the wall switch. (if not on a wall switch, the breaker must be turned off).
2. Press and hold both the ‘FAN’ button and the ‘SPEED 3’ button for at least four seconds. This step should be done within three minutes of restoring power to the fan.
3. Your fan should turn on low speed indicating the pairing was successful. If you have a light installed with your fan, it will blink and stay on.
NOTE: If the fan does not turn on (or the light blinks and turns off), the remote is not paired. Turn the power to your fan off, wait one minute, and then try again.

#3 Can this fan be mounted on sloped ceiling?

No. This is a Low Profile fan (hugger style). It mounts directly to the ceiling. Hunter also makes this model in a drop down (downrod) version that can mount on a sloped ceiling. Look for Hunter # 59245. You will also need an optional longer downrod for a sloped ceiling. They are available in 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72 inch lengths.

#4 Can I change out the light bulbs with brighter or color light bulbs?

This fan has standard medium-base bulb sockets (E26) so you can change the bulbs easily.

#5 How do you reverse the fan motor?

The reverse switch is located behind the glass cover.
