Cuisinart WAF-V100 Questions and Answers

#1 Does it work 100V environment in Japan?

We use it at 110 volts. It works really well, makes nice fluffy waffles!

#2 How does this vertical waffle maker open to get the waffles out (don't they fall out and flop wherever)?

Open the front by the handle and the waffle stays vertical on the back plate. Just remove with a fork or tongs. No flopping.

#3 Are the waffle plates removable?

No they are not removable.

#4 Has anyone cooked hash browns with this?

I hate to think what would happen. I assume this is a joke. I do agree that we need a good hash brown maker.

#5 How tight is the seal? I use a low-carb batter that's very thin and wonder if it would stay inside this unit until cooked.

My batter was krustz brand & was reg.thin ,if batter is too thick it does not flow to bottom of unit & gets stuck in top of unit .

#6 Can I order just the cup that comes with this item?

I don't think so. Did you loose it? Or you want the size? I can try to measure the volume size if you one.

#7 Does the item come with with serving tongs?

No. However, the waffles come off easily.

#8 How do you clean it?

Easy to clean. The only area I've had to clean is the opening at the top where you pour in the mix. Use a plastic brush to wipe off dried mix after it has cooled down.
