Basic Operation
Touching the brakes after long hours or heavy usage, can cause burn
injuries.
Look for a level parking area with a firm surface. Avoid parking on a
slope or on loose or slippery surfaces when possible. If you must park
on a slope, block the wheels to help keep the vehicle from sliding.
After bringing your vehicle to a stop:
1.
Keep your foot on the brake pedal while you shift into neutral
(N).
2.
Set the parking brake.
3.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF (w) position, and remove the
key.
Fully push the parking brake lever forward when releasing parking
brake.
