Restrictions When Using a Monitor Player
When you use a monitor player to edit content, the following restrictions apply:
Item Restrictions
Templates •
Ifyouselectatemplatewhichhasaash,theashzoneisauto-
matically deleted and only the rest zone is displayed.
• Ifyouselectatemplatewhichhasalethatisnotsupportedbya
monitor player, the warning pop-up appears.
If you click the [OK] button in the warning pop-up window and open
thecorrespondingtemplate,theunsupportedlezoneisdeleted
and the rest zone is displayed in the screen.
Canvas size • The size of the canvas is determined by the connected monitor; no
custom setting is available.
• The zone cannot be out of canvas background.
Library • Only monitor content can be displayed (Only set top box content is
displayed on set top box players).
•
Anyunsupportedlesaredisabledandcannotbeaddedtothe
zone.
- Photo/Video:Alewhichhasaresolutionhigherthan1920X1080
cannotbeaddedtothezone.Anyunsupportedlecannotbeaddedto
the zone (see 117 Page, "SuperSign File Support").
Service •
Anyunsupportedlesaredisabled.
- Element: Web, RSS, Widgets, and Streaming menus are disabled.
- Date/Time:Imagetype(ashle)menusaredisabled.
- Clipart:Backgroundimage(Portrait)/ashmenusaredisabled.
Tools • Anyunsupportedlesaredisabledortheirusablerangeisreduced.
- Photo transition effects: Limited to 9 including No effect.
- Background:Youcannotselectalewithabackgroundphoto
resolution higher than 1920 x 1080.
- Text/Date/Time: Only default fonts can be used.
The font displayed for preview during editing may be different to
the font displayed in a player. Bold, italic, and underline are not
allowed.
• Restrictions on External Input
1.Theexternalinputzoneisxedatthebottomofthezoneset.
(It is always placed as the last one.)
2. The content in the external input zone cannot be played
simultaneously with the one in the video/music zone.
- If a video (or music) zone already exists, an external input
zone cannot be added.
- If an external input zone already exists, a video (or music)
zone cannot be added.
