Reolink Digital 3G/4G Questions and Answers

#1 How durable would it be if mounted on a boat exposed to sea air?

Very impressed with the 3 cameras I have but I do not have them around salt water. If you put lots of dielectric grease in the plug areas and antenna port it should be ok.

#2 Will this work well in the winter? Can it withstand cold temperatures?

I am in the CA mountains and my Panel was snowed on for two days but it still charged. The camera was under an awning and it did worked, although the picture was a bit blurry with condensations.

#3 Does pan/tilt cause the camera to record?

No, Reolink Go PT adopts PIR sensors to detect the motions which is different from general motion detection. It only records videos when it's PIR sensor detects changes in the amount of infrared radiation impinging upon it or you hit Record/Snapshot button via Reolink App or Client.

#4 Should the SIM card click in like the sd card?

Yes. I personally used very small flat screwdriver to push SIM card to click

#5 If I get this for time lapse video during a construction project, should I have an unlimited data plan for videos to upload?

It depends on the stream of your videos. If you are worried about the data, we suggest you using an unlimited data plan for the camera.
