Owners' Guide Vacuum Cleaners

Before First Use

The vacuum cleaner is disassembled for packing, so it is necessary to assemble before the first use.

All of the nozzle attachments install directly to the collection container.

Quick Start Guide

The vacuum cleaner must be fully charged before the first use. The device is fully charged when the indicator turns blue, flashes for 10 seconds, and then turns off.

Warnings

Important: read all instructions and warnings included with the product before using.

  • Disconnect the device from electrical power before regular cleaning and maintenance.
  • When starting and using the vacuum cleaner, do not obstruct the nozzle with any objects that may block it.
  • Do not start the vacuum cleaner while the suction part is blocked.
  • Keep hair, clothes, fingers, and body parts away from the suction and moving parts of the vacuum. Do not use the device to vacuum messes off of people or animals.
  • Do not vacuum any flammable liquids such as gasoline or alcohol. If these came into contact with the motorized components of the device, it could start a fire.
  • Keep the ventilation hole pointed away from eyes while powering on the device.
  • This device is for home use only. Do not use outdoors or in any environment that may wet the motor components.
  • When unplugging the charger, pull it out of the wall socket by the plug, not the power cord. Unplugging by pulling the power cord could damage the power cord, which would then need to be replaced to keep the device safe for home use.
  • If the charger, motor, or power cord becomes damaged, it must be repaired by a qualified technician. To avoid shock, fire, and damage to the product, discontinue use until it can be repaired, and do not attempt to disassemble or repair it yourself.
  • The vacuum is not intended for large or sharp objects such as glass. This will damage the filter.
  • The vacuum is designed to suction up to 100 ml (3.5 ounces) of liquid. More than this will cause the motor to short circuit.
  • Before cleaning flooring and carpeting, please confirm the manufacturer’s cleaning guidelines to avoid any damage to your surfaces.
  • Keep the device out of high traffic areas in the home while charging, to avoid tripping on the power cord.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot objects such as heating vents, radiators, clothes irons, and cooking surfaces.
  • Ensure that hands are dry before touching the charger or power cord.
  • Use only accessories and replacements recommended by Holife.
  • Place the product at room temperature (18°C/64°F–28°C/82°F) when not in use.
  • The appropriate temperature for operating and charging is 10°C/50°F–30°C /86°F.

Button Functions

  1. Power Button
Push upward for 1 second to start.

  • The brush nozzle is included for cleaning furniture, upholstery, and carpet, as well as hair and pet fur.
  • Use the liquid nozzle to clean up to 100 ml (3.5 ounces) of liquids. Keep the nozzle pointed downward after vacuuming the liquids, to prevent leaking from the seam between the collection container and the machine, which could damage the motor. Discard liquids immediately.

Charging and Storage

  • Charge the device fully before first use.
  • The indicator will turn blue and flash to show when the battery is low and it is time to charge the device.
  • Ensure that the device and all parts are completely dry before charging. Insert the vacuum cleaner into the charging base and connect the adapter to a power source to charge.
  • The power indicator turns red to show that the device is charging. It will take 2–3 hours to fully charge.
  • When charging is finished, the indicator turns blue and flashes for 10 seconds, and then turns off. The device is now fully charged and ready to be used.
  • If the battery temperature dips below 0°C / 32°F, the device will stay off to protect the motor and battery. Do not store the device at a temperature below 0°C / 32°F.
  • To extend battery life, please avoid charging immediately after the device is fully discharged, the product needs to be cooled down for a few minutes.

Tips: Avoid using the device when the battery surface is hot. Running the device at a lower temperature helps to extend the working time and service life of the battery.

Cleaning and Replacing Collection Container and Filter Parts

TIPS: It is recommended to wash the HEPA after using 20 times.

For optimal performance, empty the collection container each time you use the vacuum cleaner, and wash the collection container, filter tray and filter regularly. The filter must be washed when it becomes dusty or once a month, whichever is sooner. Fine dust may need to be cleaned more frequently.

If the parts are only lightly soiled, you can clean with wet cloth. If they are more heavily soiled, submerge the parts in cold running water and gently agitate by hand until they are clean.

  • Before using the device, ensure that the suction head and accessories are clean.
  • Depress the unlocking button to remove the collection container.
  • Remove the filter and filter bracket. Before washing, tap the filter lightly to remove excess dust and debris.
  • Wash the collection container, filter, and filter tray separately. Wash by hand only with water only. Do not use soap or detergent. Do not use any appliances or brushes to clean the filter parts.
  • Place the filter in a well ventilated and dry environment for at least 24 hours to allow it to dry thoroughly.
  • Ensure that the filter unit is completely dry.
  • Reinsert the filter and filter tray into the collection container.
  • Push the collection container back into place until it clicks.

Troubleshooting

  • Weak suction
    - Check that the vacuum has not been used for too long without charging. This vacuum is designed to clean for up to 25 minutes. After it is used for several minutes, the suction will become weaker. If the suction starts off weakly or becomes weak, charge the vacuum fully and try again.
    - Be sure that the filter is clean so that debris is not obstructing the device’s suction.
  • Vacuum is hot during use
    - Power off the device and check if the collection container is full. If needed, clean it as instructed above.

    See other models: B07ZKCCGP9 HM036E
    - Check if the filter screen is blocked. If so, clean the filter according to the above instructions.
  • Vacuum cleaner isn’t suctioning pet fur
    - Check that the device has full power. A weak charge will cause weak suction that cannot vacuum the pet fur, and it will need to be recharged before resuming use.
    - If the pet fur has stuck to a fabric or carpeted surface after a liquid spill, use the head of the brush nozzle to loosen the hair and clean it before use.
  • The device does not turn on
    - Ensure that the battery is fully charged.

Q: Our HLHM036BWUS HoLife dust buster seems to not hold a charge. The charger shows a good charge, however the unit will only run for a short time after that. It also will run for a short period when the on-off switch is on then shut down but will start again after another push of the on switch. Reply
