STARTING THE ENGINE
NOTICE
Operating the vehicle immediately after starting could cause engine damage. Allow the engine to
warm up for several minutes before operating the vehicle.
Follow the steps below for proper engine start procedure:
1. Sit on the vehicle. Attach the tether cord to the ATV and clip to your clothing.
2. Push the engine stop switch to the ON position.
3. Set the parking brake or engage the brake lever. The brake lever must be engaged or the engine
won’t start.
4. Do not press the throttle while starting the engine. Turn key clockwise to start engine. Immediately
release ignition key when the engine starts.
